Archambault, 86, died peacefully with his family by his side on Wednesday morning, Sept. 26, 2012, in the Northwestern Medical Center in St. Albans. Richard was born on Nov. 19, 1925, in Richford, the son of Eli and Lucille (Lamell) Archambault. He graduated from Richford High School and enlisted in the Merchant Marines, serving during W.W.II. Upon his return, he married Elaine Lumbra on Sept. 27, 1947, in All Saints Catholic Church in Richford. He began work at Atlas Plywood then worked for the Sheldon Paper Mill, later called Boise Cascade, retiring in 1988, following 33 years of employment. Richard enjoyed his family, his grandchildren, fishing, hunting and going to deer camp. He also loved playing golf and had fond memories of his many rounds at the Richford Country Club, where he was on the Board of Directors. He also served on many local government boards, such as Town Selectman, Village Trustee, Richford Economic Development Association and was a Justice of the Peace. In addition to his wife, Elaine of Milton; Richard is survived by his children, Richard A. and wife, Phyllis, of Sheldon Springs, Eli of Bryan, Texas, Bruce and wife, Mary, of Uxbridge, Mass., Joanne of Bryan, Texas, and David and wife, Gail, of Milton; and six grandchildren, Nathan, Lacey and husband, Andrew, Luneau, Jason, Danielle, Kyle and Haley. He is also survived by two sisters and two brothers. Richard was predeceased by his grandson, Matthew Alex; as well as numerous brothers and sisters. A Celebration of Life Mass will be celebrated on Saturday, Sept. 29, 2012, in All Saints Catholic Church in Richford at 10 a.m. Burial will follow in All Saints Catholic Cemetery. Arrangements by the Minor Funeral and Cremation Center in Milton. For a complete obit and to leave online condolences, please go to www.minorfh.com. He was born May 26, 1952, the son of Roland and Lois Garrow.

He was raised in Wallingford and graduated from Wallingford High School.

Shortly after high school, he joined the U.S. Navy and retired following 22 years of service. He was then employed by the Navy in the Loss Prevention Department. He received many medals and service commendations throughout his career. He served during the Vietnam War, as well as numerous deployments to the Far East.

Survivors include his wife, Deborah of Ewa Beach; his mother, Lois Garrow of Wallingford; a son, Michael Garrow of Las Vegas, Nev; two daughters, Fredrica McCartney of Shaw Air Force Base in South Carolina and Teresa Valdez of Fort Walton Beach, Fla; four brothers, Christopher Garrow and Stephen Garrow, both of Wallingford, David Garrow and Ronald Garrow, both of Rutland; three grandchildren; and several nieces and nephews.

He was predeceased by his father, Roland Garrow.

Military funeral services were held on Sept. 30, 2003, at Pearl Harbor, Hawaii.

ObituaryMar 31, 2005  OBITUARY: RICHFORD -- Mary Olive Stetson, age 91, passed away Wednesday March 30, 2005 at her home surrounded by her family.
She was born September 8, 1913 in Richford the daughter of the late Hibbard P. & Olive (Hicks) Guilmette.
was a life long resident of Richford and a member of All Saints Catholic Church in Richford. She was a dental assistant for Dr. Towle for many years. She also cleaned homes and baby sat for many families in the area. She was a giving and caring mother, grandmother and friend. Her door was always opened for any one who needed a warm place or something to eat.
She is survived by her children, Roland "Junior" Stetson Jr., and Kathleen DiPerna both of Richford; her grandchildren, Cheryl Dinsmore, Marylee Stetson, Lori Couture, Leonard Stetson, George Olio, and Kellie Olio; 17 great grandchildren, and 7 great great grandchildren; a sister, Louise R. Doe of Richford; a brother-in-law, Jack Pevo of Odessa, NY; several nieces and nephews; her care giver for the past 13 years, George Ryea of Richford. She was predeceased by her husband, Roland Stetson Sr. in 1976; 2 sisters, Frances E. Pevo, and Lora A. Dougherty.
Funderal services will be held Saturday April 2, 2005 at 11:00 AM at All Saints Catholic Church in Richford with Rev. Frank Eksterowicz celebrating the mass of Christian burial. Interment will be later this spring in All Saints Cemetery.
A time of visitation will be held Friday from 6-9 PM at the Spears Funeral Home, 140 Main St., Richford.
