She was born in Mount Holly on September 25, 1915, daughter of Herbert and Bertha (Davenport) Harris.

She attended Rutland High School.

Etta had a long, healthy and fulfilling life. She held many jobs and spent much of her time helping other people. She was actively involved with various community services for many years. Etta was very involved with her grandchildren and great-grandchildren, and loved all the family activities.

She is survived by a son, Edward R. Garrow and wife Jean of Shrewsbury; two daughters, Betty Ann (Hill) Harrison and husband Richard of Ludlow, and Jean M. (Hill) Glidden and husband David, also of Ludlow; and a daughter-in-law, Lucinda Garrow of Shrewsbury. She is also survived by her grandchildren, Dawn Garrow, Wanda Trinci, Cindy Tuomisto, William H. Garrow, Christine Billings, Edward R. Garrow, Jr., Eric Garrow, Angelia Foster, and Joseph Garrow, as well as 14 great-grandchildren and nine great-great-grandchildren; many nieces and nephews and first cousin Dr. Lawrence Staples of Des Moines, Iowa.

Besides her parents, she was predeceased by two husbands, Gunnar A. Hill and Winfred Dean; her two sons, Louis Garrow and William Herbert Garrow; three sisters, Dorothy Garrow, Ruth Hewitt and Marion Buzzell; a brother, Alfred Harris; and a great-grandson, Jacob Billings.

There will be no calling hours.

The funeral service will be held at the Cavendish Baptist Church on Saturday, Oct. 15, at 1 p.m. in Cavendish, followed by a Celebration of her life at the Proctorsville Fire Station in Proctorsville. All are welcome.

In lieu of flowers, donations may be made in her memory to the Black River Valley Senior Center, 10 High Street , Ludlow, VT 05149, or a charity of your choice.

Adams Funeral Home in Ludlow has been entrusted with the arrangements.

ObituarySep 28, 2021  OBITUARY: ENOSBURG FALLS– Pauline “Polly” Myott, age 83, passed away on Monday, September 27, 2021 surrounded by her loving family.

She was born in St. Albans on April 1, 1938 and later was adopted by Francis and Marion (Larose) Revoir.

Polly grew up in Enosburg Falls and graduated from Enosburg Falls High School in 1957. After graduation she married the love of her life, Raymond Myott, on July 6, 1957, and then they worked side by side until retirement. Initially on the family farm where they started their family of three children and then in 1968 they sold the farm and built their home in town where they ran the Myott Insurance Agency until 2002. They became snowbirds after retirement living at the Sleepy Hollow Mobile Estates in Zephyrhills, FL for 18 years while spending their summers at Brookside Campground in Enosburg.

During their life together, Polly and Ray were active in the Tyler Branch Grange and the Cold Hollow Barons snowmobile club. They enjoyed several cruises in the Caribbean and a trip to Hawaii. Polly enjoyed the local women’s softball league and the EFHS Hornets basketball teams, bowling at the Dairy Center, golfing at Enosburg Falls Country Club, playing cards and board games, participating in variety shows, and spending time with family and friends. She always sewed, however, took up quilting later in life with the quilting club at Sleepy Hollow and created many quilts for her children and grandchildren. Polly cherished family time; especially hosting Sunday family dinners and holiday gatherings.

She is survived by her husband of 64 years, Raymond Myott of Enosburg Falls; children, Catherine Emch of Enosburg Falls, Allen Myott and his wife Joan of Enosburg Falls, and Dean Myott of Berkshire; grandchildren, Christie Ballard and husband Justin, Kyla Roach and husband Corey, Dawn Emch Schafer, Marcy Emch, Colin Myott, Brandon Myott, Destiny Myott; great grandchildren, Amber, Kira, Azalea, Jake, Hannah, James, Aliayah, Jayden, Skylynn, Aurora, Malana, Charles III; siblings, Helen Parent and her husband Real of West Burke, Norman Larose and his wife Anne-Marie of Jericho; siblings-in-law, Arlene Rouleau and her husband Andre of Graniteville, Dianne Whalen and her husband Harlen of Jonesville; and several nieces, nephews and cousins. Besides her parents, Polly was predeceased by her son-in-law Ralph Emch, her in-laws Frank and Antoinette Myott, brothers-in-law Donald Myott, Francis Myott and sister-in-law Dorothy.

Family and friends are invited to Polly’s services to include visitation on Tuesday, October 5, 2021 from 4:00-7:00 PM at the Goss-Spears Life Celebration Home and a mass of Christian burial held on Wednesday, October 6, 2021 at 11:00 AM at the St. John the Baptist Catholic Church, 222 Missisquoi Street, Enosburg Falls, VT 05450.

Garrow, had listed his next of kin as his father, William H. Garrow, Cuttingsville, VT, and his mother, Mr. Etta Harris Holl, also of Vermont.

A spokesman for the 101st Airborne Division said Garrow jumped with the 506th Airborne Infantry Combat Group in a training maneuver Thursday night.

They said his opened parachute with the harness unbuckled was found about 200 yards from the body. Authorities theorized he had attempted a “water-drop”, in which the jumper falls free of the parachute just before striking the ground.

A search was begun Thursday night when Garrow failed to report to an assembly point after the jump.

Garrow’s death was the first parachute fatality at Ft. Campbell in 17 months and the first for the newly reactivated division.

Lisa was born the daughter of Laura (Garrow) and Henry Britton on July 20, 1965 in St. Albans, Vt. She was educated in Walpole and attended Fall Mountain Regional High School in Langdon.

On Oct. 1, 2016, she exchanged vows with Michael S. Willard with close family and friends in attendance. Lisa and Michael had a long courtship of 20 years before marriage.

She worked at Plum Pak in Winchester as a production control manager. She had been with the company for 28 years.

When time permitted, Lisa enjoyed reading a good book. She was also up for watching movies and attending family events. Lisa was a loving wife and mother and daughter.

Mrs. Willard is survived by her husband, Michael S. Willard of Richmond; her mother, Laura Britton of Keene; her children from a combined marriage, Renee DeBell and her significant other, Ryan Campbell, of Keene, Justin Racine of Winchester, Samantha Willard of Richmond, Brian Willard and his wife, Brittny, of Hinsdale and Aaron Willard and his significant other, Alicia Springer, of Swanzey; and her grandchildren, Mason, Brycen, Gracelynn, Austin, Bryson and Ryanah. In addition she leaves brothers, sisters, uncles, aunts, cousins, extended family and friends. Lisa was predeceased by her father, Henry Britton, who passed in February of 1999; and her son, Ryan Britton, who passed on Nov. 12, 2001.

In keeping with Lisa’s wishes, there are no calling hours. A gathering to celebrate Lisa’s life will be held on Saturday, April 1, 2017, from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m. in the Richmond Veterans Hall, 105 Old Homestead Highway, Richmond.

The Cheshire Family Funeral Home and Crematories of Swanzey (www.cheshirefamilyfh.com) is in charge of arrangements.

She is survived by three daughters, Laurie and her husband Joseph Brace of Panton, Wendy and her husband Glenn Williams of East Middlebury; Joye Beth Garrow of Bristol; a son, Paul Garrow and his wife Barbara of New Haven; a grandson, Randy Garrow; step-daughter Cindy and her husband Norbert Miller of North Carolina; three step-grandchildren, Christian and her husband Jason Nordman of north Carolina, and Michael and Jason Miller; step great-granddaughter Elizabeth Nordman; two sisters, Jacqueline Clark of Richmond and Jean Clark of East Middlebury; lifetime friend Betty Godfrey of Fairlee; and several nieces and nephews.

Funeral services will be held on Thursday, June 25, 1998 at 11 a.m. in the Warren United Church. Interment will be in the Warren Village Cemetery. Friends may call at the church from 10 a.m. until the hour of the funeral. Contributions may be made to the Addison County Home Health Care Agency, Middlebury, VT 05753.

Garrow Jr. and wife, Ginny, of Cavendish and their two daughters, Ginger Hinkley and husband, Jason, of Claremont, N.H., and their children, Jack and Kord Hinkley, and Desiree Garrow and companion, Cory Sweet, and Eric Garrow of Shrewsbury; a brother, Tim Wortman and wife, Patricia, of Virginia; and a sister, Joan Ciufo and husband, Salvatore, of Ludlow.

She was predeceased by her grandson, Jacob Billings, and by a sister, Ina Evans.

A celebration of life will be held Saturday, March 15, 2014, from 11 a.m. to 2 p.m. at the Moose Club on Center Street in Rutland.

Arrangements are under the direction of Clifford Funeral Home in Rutland.
