Ginny graduated from Richford High School in 1946, attended Burlington Business College and was employed in the Burlington area until her marriage in 1948.

She was secretary to the Principal at Champlain Valley Union High School for many years and later retired after ten years as teller at the Hinesburg branch of the Merchants Bank.

She will be cremated and go to her final resting place in a beautiful china vase which was a gift from her grandmother, Juna Hamlett, with whom she was very close and lived with her first few years of elementary school in Enosburgh Center, VT.

There will be a family graveside service at the Hinesburg Village Cemetery.

He is survived by his wife Mrs. Sophia (Hunt) Briggs of Plainville; two daughters Mrs. Evelyn Raymond of Fitchburg, Mass. and Mrs. Mary Murdock of Proctor, Vt; a stepdaughter, Mrs. Ruth Hunt of Plainville, a stepson, Merrill Hunt of Simsbury; a sister, Mrs. Jane Powers of Forrestville; a brother Egbert Briggs of Proctor, Vt; and six grandchildren.

Funeral services will be held Friday at 11 a.m. at Plainville Memorial Funeral Home. Burial will be in West Cemetery, Plainville, Friends my call at the funeral home Thursday from 7 to 9 p.m.
