ObituaryFeb 1, 1984  OBITUARY: MANCHESTER, Vt. - Floyd John Bourn, 68, of Manchester, father of Miss Wyneta Bourn of Eagle Bridge, N.Y., died unexpectedly at his home on Lorette Avenue on Jan. 25, 1984.
Born in Bondville on Jan. 30, 1915, son of Dwight and Jennie (Douglas) Bourn, he was educated there. On June 17, 1933, he married the former Doris Keyes. They spent all their married life in Manchester, where Mr. Bourn worked as a logger for many years and had served as a sextant of the Factory Point Cemetery for the past 18 years.
Besides his daughter in Eagle Bridge and his wife, survivors include five other daughters, Mrs. Noreen Shores, Mrs. Jenny Sweeney, Mrs. Barbara Campney and Mrs. Beverly Bacon, all of Manchester, and Mrs. Georgia Mae Secoy of Arlington; three brothers, Herman Bourn of Poultney, Herbert Bourn of Hampton, N.Y., and Frank Bourn; two sisters, Minnie Slason of Toledo, Ohio, and Effie Gilmore of Worcester, Mass; 39 grandchildren and 28 great grandchildren; several nieces and nephews. A son, Edmund J. Bourn, died in 1973.
Funeral services were held Sunday afternoon at the First Baptist Church with the Rev. Richard D. Olmstead, pastor, officiating. Entombment took place at Factory Point Cemetery, where burial will be at a later date.
The Brewster Funeral Home handled arrangements.
