ObituaryNov 1, 1927  OBITUARY: Mrs. Nellie Parker, wife of Charles F. McKown, died October 31 (1927) at her home on School Street, Lisbon, following a long illness. She was born May 21, 1866 in the house where she lived and what had been her home during her life. Her parents were Nathan C. and Lucinda (Sherman) Parker, well known residents of Lisbon. She married Charles McKown in February 1922, being his second wife. She is survived by her husband, one sister, Mrs. Lena Neill of Thornlow, Ont., one brother, Gilbert Parker of Briarcliff Manor, N.Y., who with his daughter, Miss Florence Parker, was present at the funeral which was held at her home Wednesday at 2 p.m., Rev. P.A. Job officiating.

Mrs. Neill had been with her sister the last seven weeks and remained until after the burial which was in the family lot in Grove Hill Cemetery. The bearers were all relatives, Gilbert Parker, Nathan McKown, Arthur L. Sherman and George Quebec. That Mrs. McKown had the sympathy and affection of her neighbors as well as of her relatives, was shown by the many gifts, sunshine bags and profusion of flowers which brightened her long months of helplessness and suffering, and being also afflicted with deafness her lot was doubly hard. She was a charter member of Lafayette chapter O.E.S.

He served four years as a Marine, and married Nancy Ellen Green in 1962. They moved to Tucson in 1963. He was a TV Tech and owner of EARL'S TV. He is survived by Nancy and children, Christine, Kathleen (Mikey), Douglas (Gina) and Daniel (Ana); grandchildren, Michael August (Christina), Chrystal Pierce, Amy Nicholson, Katelynn Kayhart, Aurora and Orion Kayhart; great-kids, Mike Jr., Brian and Mya August. Also by siblings, Betty Foemmel, Elaine (Gerry) Bohn, Robert, Lyle (Debby) and Gene Kayhart.

Life Celebration will be Saturday, July 5, 2014 at 3:30 p.m., St. Francis in the Foothills United Methodist Church. Arrangements by ANGEL VALLEY FUNERAL HOME.
