| Obituary | Jun 24, 2019 | OBITUARY: Loretta Corey passed away peacefully on Thursday, June 13 in the comfort of her Littleton, NH home with her family nearby following a brief illness. At 101 years old she was proud to be still living independently. Loretta Anna Struemph was born Nov. 15, 1917 in Vienna, Mo., the 9th of 12 children, to parents George and Lizette (Falter). She grew up on a 300-acre farm where there were many chores but even more 'good clean fun.' As a young woman she followed several of her siblings to New York City where she found work in an airplane production factory and as a nanny. In the city she enjoyed walking everywhere like a true New Yorker going to movies, Yankees games and live music, including big bands and opera. One summer the family she worked for vacationed in Littleton, NH. That is how she met her future husband, Alexander Corey. The young lawyer from a large Lebanese family and the farm girl from Missouri married August 21, 1944. Loretta became a busy homemaker, raising a family, flower and vegetable gardening, canning, sewing clothing, shoveling snow and occasionally working in the family businesses, Corey's Sweet Shop and her daughter Dorothy's Sundial Nursery. She was active in the Catholic Daughters of America. Never learning how to drive, she walked everywhere from the grocery store to the hospital when it was on Cottage Street. She helped care for grandchildren and neighbor children after school, always welcoming them with homemade treats. The house was always full on holidays and during family reunions when the extended Struemph clan came from all over the country. And Loretta and the family took long road trips back to Missouri every three years to visit. Loretta was an avid reader - consuming everything from the ''New Yorker'' to the Vienna, Mo. weekly newspaper- cheered the Red Sox and Patriots since she was now in New England, and followed politics, world and local events. She held a wealth of knowledge from her century of life and enjoyed conversations on any topic, her mind still extremely sharp. She enjoyed fresh cut flowers from family gardens and watching visiting birds outside her window. Loretta was preceded in death by her husband Alexander (Bob) and son William and her eleven siblings. She is survived by daughters Catherine Bedor (Joel) and Dorothy Corey, of Littleton; Barbara Brewster, of Middletown, Md., and son Michael Corey, of Chester, N.H., seven grandchildren, and four great grandchildren. She is also lovingly remembered by over 40 nieces and nephews whose frequent long phone conversations were welcomed as occasions to reminisce and talk about any topic under the sun. Loretta and the family are grateful for the tender care she received from Anne McDonald and North Country Home Health & Hospice Agency. In lieu of flowers donations can be made to N.H. Catholic Charities, Littleton Area Senior Center or Visitation of the Blessed Virgin Mary Parish in Vienna, Mo. SERVICES -- Calling hours will be held Wednesday, June 19th from 4 to 6:30 p.m. at Pillsbury Phaneuf Funeral Home located at 101 Union Street in Littleton. A Catholic Mass of Christian Burial will be held at St. Rose of Lima Catholic Church in Littleton on Thursday, June 20th at 10 a.m. with The Very Reverend Mark E. Dollard as Celebrant, followed by graveside services at St. Rose of Lima Catholic Cemetery. Following the services, family and friends are welcome to gather at Adair Country Inn in Bethlehem to celebrate Loretta's life.1 |

| Obituary | Jun 12, 2019 | OBITUARY: BERKSHIRE – Howard “Howie” Tipper, age 48, passed away after a courageous battle with cancer on Monday, June 10, 2019 at his home in Berkshire. He was born in St. Albans on February 22, 1971 the son of Deborah (Couture) Tipper and the late James Tipper who predeceased him on May 7, 2019. Howie grew up in Sheldon Springs, went to Sheldon Elementary School and graduated from Enosburg Falls High School in 1990. After graduation Howie joined the Army, served in the National Guard, and was a proud lifetime member of the American Legion, Post #42, in Enosburg Falls. He spent many of his younger years working on Pat Howrigan’s Farm, and the last 17 years at Vermont Precision Tools where he worked throughout his treatments. Howie had a tremendous work ethic and could rarely be found sitting still. He enjoyed spending time outside hunting, fishing, sugaring, and cutting wood. Howie also liked to tinker in his garage and compete in the annual pontoon boat races at Lake Carmi. Most of all, Howie loved making people smile and had a knack for telling it like it is while lighting up a room with laughter. He is survived by his wife, Chelsea Tipper; children, David and Hannah; mother, Deborah Tipper all of Berkshire; sister and her family, Becky Tipper and her significant other Ted Cantell of Sheldon Springs and their children Matthew, Alexys, and Dalton, and their grandson Liam “Pete”; father-in-law, Herb Button of Franklin; his special friend and cousin, Kevin Gibson of Franklin; and his four-legged companions, Pepé, and Festis. Besides his father James Tipper, Howie was predeceased by his mother-in-law, Kathleen M. (Garey) Button. Howie’s family would like to thank the Oncology Department at the UVM Medical Center, especially Dr. Farrah Khan, for the excellent care he received. Visitation will be held Monday, June 17, 2019 from 9:00 AM until the hour of the service at Spears Funeral Home, 96 Dickinson Ave., Enosburg Falls. A memorial service will be held on Monday at 11:00 AM at Spears Funeral Home. | Obituary | Aug 28, 2019 | OBITUARY: SHELDON SPRINGS – Matthew J. Cantell- Tipper, age 23, passed away unexpectedly on Sunday, August 25, 2019 in St. Albans. He was born in St. Albans on April 27, 1996, the son of Ted Cantell and Becky Tipper. Matt grew up in Sheldon and graduated from Enosburg Falls High School in 2014. While in high school he served as President for the Future Farmers of America (FFA) organization and participated in the EFHS chorus and drama productions. As a young child Matt spent countless hours riding with his father trucking and farming which sparked his own passion for being behind the wheel. He worked for various farms in Franklin County and was most recently employed by Machia’s farm in Sheldon. Matt loved to help others and served as a volunteer fire fighter and first responder for many local towns. Matt Cherished his time spent with his Papa and Uncle Howie on the farm sugaring and hunting every year. Most of all, Matt took pleasure in spending time with his family and friends and had an unmatched charm. He loved being around people, and people loved being around him. He is survived by his son, Liam Cantell-Tipper of Sheldon Springs; his parents, Ted Cantell and Becky Tipper of Sheldon Springs; grandparents, Deborah Tipper of Berkshire, John and Patricia Boyce of Richford, and Alfred and Sue Reed of Sheldon; siblings, Alexys Tipper, Dalton Cantell-Tipper, Ashley Holbrook, Clayton Boyce, and Carson Boyce; nieces and nephews, Paityn, Corbin, and Carter; aunts and uncles, Chelsea Tipper of Berkshire, Debbie Thrush and her significant other Louie Badger of St. Albans, and Richard and his wife Joan Cantell of NC; and cousins David and Hannah of Berkshire, and Josh Thrush and Haydie of IL. Matt was predeceased by his grandparents, Michael and Judy Cantell, and James Tipper; and his uncle, Howard “Howie” Tipper. He was born on August 27,1942 in Burlington, Vt to Henry Mandigo and Ida Touchette Ken was an avid musician and singer. He loved playing his guitar, singing (he had a great country voice), and performing for crowds. He also enjoyed drawing and talking to people and making them smile. He is survived by his children Monica Quick and husband Gary of Island Pond, VT, Scott Mandigo of Derby, VT, Denise Fletcher of Derby, VT, Christopher Mandigo and wife Constance of Newport, VT and Kenny Mandigo of Newport, VT and several grandchildren and great grandchildren he is also survived by sister Roselyn Corey and brother Roger He was predeceased by sister Madeline Tabor and brothers Wallace, Harland, and Cliffton Per Kenneths request there will be no calling hours or funeral services.
