ObituaryOct 7, 2007  OBITUARY: PLYMOUTH - Edward A. DeMasi Jr., 86, of Plymouth, died Saturday, Oct. 6. He was the husband of the late Frances L. (Mahoney) DeMasi.

Mr. DeMasi was raised in Medford and was a graduate of Medford High School, Class of 1938. He was a member of a pet project of Franklin D. Roosevelt, the Civilian Construction Corp., Company 1171 in North Adams. He entered into the U.S. Marines and served in the 4th Marine Division during World War II. He was a survivor of the Battle of Iwo Jima.

Mr. DeMasi lived his married life in Quincy and worked for Boston Edison for 36 years. After his retirement in 1985, he moved to Plymouth. He was a member of the Knights of Columbus in North Quincy and of Blessed Kateri Tekakwith Church in Plymouth.

He is survived by five sons, Edward A. DeMasi of Plymouth, Ralph M. DeMasi of Ayer, Joseph G. DeMasi of Florida, Michael DeMasi of Brockton and Steven DeMasi of Gardner; six daughters, Joan Marie Whiffen of Hanson, Susan DeMasi of Quincy, Paula Frizzell of Plymouth, Denise DeMasi of Plymouth, Diane Pineo of Brockton and Michelle DeMasi- Gatchell of Rhode Island; three brothers, Alfred of California, Warren of Wakefield and Lido DeMasi of Medford; two sisters, Concetta Reagan of Medford and Olga Lepordo of California; 17 grandchildren; 13 great-grandchildren; and his companion, Ida Clark. He was the brother of the late Mario and Ralph DeMasi.

A funeral Mass was held Wednesday, Oct. 10, 2007 at Blessed Kateri Tekakwitha Church, 140 South Meadow Road, Plymouth. Burial was in the Massachusetts National Cemetery in Bourne.

In lieu of flowers, donations in his name may be made to Blessed Kateri Church, 140 S. Meadow Road, Plymouth, MA 02360.

Paul was born in Medford, MA on May 2, 1933 to George and Alice Clark. Paul attended Wentworth Institute in Boston. Following his graduations he began his military career in the United States Air Force.
Paul married Jean Marie Mahoney, also of Medford, in 1955. Maj. Clark proudly served as a navigator aboard a KC-135 Stratotanker. During his 20 years of service which included tours of duty in Korea and Vietnam, Paul and Jean enjoyed their life in the service. They made countless friends while stationed at military bases in Alabama, Ohio, Mississippi, New Mexico, Arkansas, and California prior to his retirement in 1973. Following his retirement from military service, Paul became an instructor at Pulaski Technical College where he instituted the Computer Aided Drafting program.
In addition to his parents, Paul is preceded in death by his wife, Jean Marie and son David Michael. Survivors include Donald Clark of Little Rock, Dr. Barbara (Jim) Ellington of Fort Smith, Paul J. Clark, Jr. (Susan) of North Little Rock and grandchildren JD, Taylor, Kayla and Katie Clark, Lauren, JJ and Nick Harrison.
The family wishes to thank the wonderful people at Hospice Home Care for their devotion to Paul and his family. We would especially like to recognize Brenda Lockhart, R.N. of HHC, the staff at the HHC inpatient facility for their kindness and compassion to us. We would also like to express our gratitude to Cherie Fox, caregiver in the home.
Funeral services will be held Tuesday, June 9, 2009 at 11:30 a.m. at Roller-Owens Funeral Home, 5509 John F. Kennedy Blvd., North Little Rock (501-791-7400). Interment will be at the Arkansas State Veterans' Cemetery in North Little Rock. The family will receive visitors from 6 p.m. until 8 p.m. on Monday, June 8, 2009 at Roller-Owens. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to Hospice Home Care at 2200 S. Bowman Road in Little Rock, Arkansas 72211.

ObituaryJul 7, 2006  OBITUARY: Larry LeRoy Davis, 70, of Dunham Street, Attleboro, died on Thursday, July 6, 2006 at Sturdy Memorial Hospital in Attleboro following a three-month hospitalization. He was the husband of Sally L. (Nordberg) Davis to whom he was married on April 12, 1969.

Born in South Hero, Vermont on April 19, 1936, he was a son of the late Robert Turner Davis and Ethel Ruth (Mashtare) Davis. He lived in Burlington, Vermont until moving to Attleboro 40 years ago.

Mr. Davis was a self-employed house painter for many years and also worked for several local contractors.

In Vermont, he was a member of the Moose Club and was an ardent fisherman and hunter.

He enjoyed the time spent wood crafting and was known for baking the "world's best" oatmeal cookies and enjoyed making donuts for his family.

In addition to his wife of 37 years, he leaves ten children: Robert T. Davis of St. Albans, Vermont; Karen L. Court of Wake Forest, North Carolina; Marylou Davis of Hardwick, Vermont; Larry L. Davis of Milton, Vermont; William A. Davis of South Hero, Vermont; Steven Heuther of Bennington, Vermont; Laura Davis Smith, Esquire of Coral Gables, Florida; Paul H. Davis of Attleboro; Ruth A. Davis of Vancouver, Washington and Melanie K. Moniz of Attleboro; 23 grandchildren; 5 great grandchildren; his siblings: Pauline Myers of Burlington, Vermont; Donald Davis of Ferrisburg, Vermont; Linda Georgie of Burlington, Vermont; Francis P. Davis of Claremont, New Hampshire and Veronica James of Bristol, Vermont and many nieces and nephews.

He was the father of the late Tina M. Davis and was the brother of the late Lillian Barrett, Loretta Hill and Kenneth Davis.

Relatives and friends are cordially invited to attend a Funeral Service on Tuesday, July 11, 2006 at 7:00 PM in the "Memorial Chapel" of the DYER-LAKE FUNERAL HOME, 161 Commonwealth Avenue (exit 5 off I-95 N or S, go right at end of ramp, funeral home ¾ mile on the left), Village of Attleboro Falls, North Attleboro. Burial will be private in Grand Isle Cemetery, Grand Isle, Vermont.

Visitation will be held in the "Memorial Chapel" on Tuesday, July 11, 2006 from 4:00 – 6:45 PM prior to the commencement of funeral services at 7:00 PM.
