He is survived by his brothers, Oscar "Mike" Wood Jr., John Henry Wood, and Curtis T. Wood.

A funeral service was conducted Thursday, January 7, 2010, at Prize Hill Church in Boonesville, with the Reverend Curtis Morris officiating. Interment followed at Prize Hill Cemetery.

Mr. Wood would like to thank the nursing staff at Morningside and his nephew David Wood for the care he received.

Mr. Rountree was born in Hertford County and was the son of the late Sornie Ralph Jr. and Maggie West Rountree. A self-employed tree service operator, he was a member of Gatesville Baptist Church and its Adult Choir. Elected to the Gates County Board of Education in 1998, he was presently serving as its chairman. Jimmy loved children and worked tirelessly to improve their education through the school system. An active member of the PTA, he had, for many years, treated the kindergarten and elementary levels to watermelon parties. Jimmy enjoyed hunting and fishing, farming, cutting wood and all outdoor activities. In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by infant twin sons; a brother, Andy Rountree; and his father-in-law, Britten Jordan. Surviving are his wife of 25 years, Lynne Jordan Rountree; his daughter, Margaret Diane Rountree; sons, James H. Rountree Jr. and Joseph Britten Rountree, all of the home; a sister, Nancy R. "Becky" Bunch of Murfreesboro; and brothers, S.R. Rountree III of Fuquay-Varina and William Rountree of Gatesville. A funeral will be held Thursday at 2 p.m. in Gatesville Baptist Church by the Rev. Gene Asbill. Burial will follow in Oak Grove Christian Church Cemetery, Folly Road, Sunbury. Friends may join the family today from 7 to 8:30 p.m. in Miller Funeral Home, and all other times at the home of his mother-in-law, Lois Jordan, 196 Savage Road, Corapeake. Memorial contributions may be made to the building fund of Gatesville Baptist Church or the Gates County Rescue Squad.

ObituaryJan 13, 2013  OBITUARY: William F. Revoet, age 90, of Griswold died on Friday at the Wm W. Backus Hospital.

He was born May 18, 1922 in Indonesia a son to the late Frederick and Paulina (Tan) Revoet. William was a member of the Netherlands Naval Air Force and honorably served within WWII. During his service he was captured by Japanese forces and was a POW in Nagasazki on June 9, 1945, the day when the atomic bomb was dropped.

In 1957 he came to live in the United States with his family and worked as a sheet metal fabricator for both Kaman Aircraft and Pratt & Whitney before working for several years and retiring from Electric Boat in Groton.

He had a variety of interests and talents. He was an excellent musician who could play almost any instrument. His favorite musician was Elvis Presley. With his love for music, William spent many hours volunteering his time playing music at the Griswold Senior Citizen Center.

William is survived by his long time companion Alice Ferry of Griswold; children Fred Revoet, Johann, Revoet, Paula Ezzell, Carla Miller, Rickie Revoet, Joni McClaren, Jeanne Glover, Edward Ferry III and numerous grandchildren and great grandchildren.

A Mass of Christian burial will be held at 9AM on Wednesday at the St. Thomas Church in Voluntown with an interment to follow at the St. Thomas Cemetery.

Calling hours will be held on Tuesday evening from 4-6PM at the Gagne-Piechowski Funeral Home 490 Voluntown Rd Jewett City, CT.

He was engaged in practice for many years in Chicago, IL, retired from practice and located in San Diego, CA. Killed On Way To Invalid Daughter
Run off the road by another car of unknown driver, Frank Crozier, who with his wife and daughter was hurrying to Tucson to spend Christmas with an invalid daughter died shortly after being brought to the Casa Grande hospital at 5:30 p. m, December 22. He was 59 years of age. The accident happened three miles east of Casa Grande on the Tucson highway. The car was being driven by the victim's daughter, who escaped with minor injuries. The wife, however suffered serious injuries, and is still in the sanitarium in Tucson with her daughter, where she was taken from here in an ambulance. The body of the deceased was sent by train to San Diego by the Fisher funeral home Tuesday.
