ObituaryAug 20, 2010  OBITUARY: Laconia - Roger L. Sanborn, 71, of 100 Dartmouth Street, died at the Lakes Region General Hospital on Wednesday, August 18, 2010.

Mr. Sanborn was born May 4, 1939 in Laconia, N.H. the son of Carl S. and Pearl E. (Huntoon) Sanborn.

He was raised in Belmont and moved to Laconia forty-four years ago.

Mr. Sanborn served in the U. S. Army and was a civil engineer with the N.H. Department of Transportation for thirty years, retiring in 1995.

Mr. Sanborn was a member of the Laconia Congregational Church. He enjoyed gardening and traveling and loved taking his grandkids to Disney World.

Mr. Sanborn is survived by his wife of 18 years, Priscilla (Bowne, Hall) Sanborn, of Laconia; two sons and daughters-in-law, Todd and Nanette Sanborn of Belmont and Carl and Jamie Sanborn of Bridgewater; a son, Jefferson Hall, and his friend, Dr. Laura Jones of Concord; a daughter and son-in-law, Lesleigh and Stephen Boulanger, of Dover, Delaware; a daughter, Stefanie Hall, and her fiancée, Ken Corliss, of Scottsdale, Arizona; eight grandchildren; Mike Hall, Joshua Boulanger, Justin Boulanger, Alexis Sanborn, Shaunnaci Sanborn, Keegan Sanborn, Samuel Sanborn and Kory Sanborn; a brother and sister-in-law, Milton and Bernice Sanborn of Merrimack; a sister, Evelyn Pearl, of Loudon; a sister-in-law, Betty Murphy, of South Park, Penn; and several nephews and nieces. In addition to his parents, Mr. Sanborn was predeceased by a brother, Leo Murphy, and by a brother-in-law, Kenneth Pearl.

Calling hours will be held on Tuesday, August 24, 2010 from 6:00-8:00PM in the Carriage House of the Wilkinson-Beane-Simoneau-Paquette Funeral Home, 164 Pleasant Street, Laconia, N.H.

A Memorial Service will be held on Wednesday, August 25, 2010 at 11:00AM at the Laconia Congregational Church, 69 Pleasant Street, Laconia, N. H. Rev. Dr. Warren H. Bouton, Pastor of the Church, will officiate.

Burial will be in the family lot in South Road Cemetery, Belmont, N.H.

In lieu of flowers, memorial donations may be made to the Community Wellness Center, 22 Strafford Street, Laconia, N. H. 03246.
