ObituaryNov 11, 2017  OBITUARY: Milton H. Sanborn, 95, resident of Merrimack, NH, died surrounded by his family on November 10, 2017 at the Community Hospice House, Merrimack.

He was born in Belmont, NH on September 19, 1922, a son of Carl S. and Pearl E. (Huntoon) Sanborn. He was raised and educated in Belmont N.H. and graduated from Belmont High School.

Milton made his home in Merrimack for the past 30 years and formerly lived in Nashua for 13 years, Belmont, NH for more than 25 years and in Florida for a number of years.

He had been employed by New England Telephone Company for 34 years and retired from Lucent Technologies in 1984. In addition, he was a member of IBEW Local #2320.

Milton was a communicant of St. John Neumann Church, Merrimack. He was a loving father, a devoted grandfather, great grandfather, and great-great grandfather whose greatest joy came from spending time with his family. He also loved going on senior trips and being active in the Crimeline in Merrimack, NH.

He was predeceased by his wife, Bernice E. (White) Sanborn; a brother, Roger L. Sanborn; and a sister, Evelyn M. Pearl.

Family members include; Brian W. and Genia Sanborn of Milford, Victoria Moriarty and Daniel of Nashua, Donald Sanborn of Leominster, MA, Maureen Cohen, and her significant other Deiter, of Peterborough, NH; 11 grandchildren, Jeffrey, Tim, Jodi, Kelly, Tobey, Adar, Michael, Neely, Stacey, Christina, and Joseph; 7 great grandchildren, Melanie, Curtis, Dylan, Samuel, Abigail, Ryan, and Rutsi; 2 great-great grandchildren, Ryder and Kennah; many nieces and nephews.

Visiting hours are on Thursday, November 16th from 6:00-8:00 pm in the Smith & Heald Funeral Home, 63 Elm Street, Milford. Funeral services will be held on Friday, November 17th at 10am in the funeral home. Burial will be in Edgewood Cemetery, Nashua, at a later date. In lieu of flowers, those who wish may make a donation in his memory to the Community Hospice House, c/o Home Health & Hospice Care, 7 Executive Park Drive, Merrimack, NH 03054.
