ObituarySep 16, 2008  OBITUARY: CLIFTON PARK Edmund P. Woznack, 84, of Vischer Ferry Road, passed away peacefully on Monday, September 15, 2008 at his home, surrounded by his family, after a long battle with cancer. Ed was born in Schenec-tady on September 25, 1923, a son of the late Edward and Pauline Woznack. He attended Mont Pleasant High School. He was in the U.S. Air Force during World War II stationed in Denver, Colo. He retired in 1980 from the Watervliet Arsenal, where he worked as a machinist/foreman. Survivors include his devoted wife of 64 years, Catherine (Cantell) whom he married on August 12, 1944; sons, Robert and Peter Woznack of Clifton Park; daughters, Margaret Teagle of Rotterdam, Barbara (Richard) Buczek of Hope, and Mary (John) Korowajczyk of Gansevoort. He is also survived by his sister, Lorraine Podgurski of Murrells Inlet, S.C; 10 grandchildren and nine great-grandchildren. Visitation will be held from 8 to 10 a.m, Thursday September 18, 2008, at the Gordon C. Emerick Funeral Home, 1550 Route 9, Clifton Park, N.Y. A Mass of Christian Burial will take place at 11 a.m. at St. Edward the Confessor Church, 569 Clifton Park Center Road, Clifton Park. Burial will be in Most Holy Redeemer Cemetery, Niskayuna. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made in memory of Ed to the Community Hospice of Saratoga, 179 Lawrence Street, Saratoga Springs, NY 12866 or the Vischer Ferry Fire Dept., 360 Riverview Road, Rexford, NY 12148.
