ObituaryFeb 25, 2011  OBITUARY: Catherine M. Woznack, 87, of Vischer Ferry Road, passed away peacefully on Wednesday, February 23, 2011 at Ellis Hospital after a long illness and a courageous battle with cancer.

Cathy was born in St. Albans, Vt. on June 21, 1923, a daughter of the late Leroy and Eva Cantell. She attended St. Mary's Catholic High School in St Albans, Vt. She worked as a secretary for GE for a few years right out of high school. She was a devoted housewife and raised five wonderful children. She was a member of the St. Thomas Church Rosary Society in Schenectady for many years.

She is predeceased by her husband of 64 years, Edmund, whom she married on August 12, 1944; her brother, Leo Cantell; and sister, Janet Vieta. She is survived by sons, Robert and Peter Woznack of Clifton Park; daughters, Margaret Teagle of Rotterdam, Barbara (Richard) Buczek of Hope, and Mary (John) Korowajczyk of Gansevoort. She is also survived by her sisters, Elaine St. Pierre, Mary Britch and Joyce Trombly; 10 grandchildren; and 9 great-grandchildren.

A Mass of Christian Burial will be held on Saturday, February 26, 2011 at 11:00 a.m. at St. Edward the Confessor Church, 569 Clifton Park Center Road. Calling hours will be held on Saturday from 9-11 a.m. prior to the service in the Chapel of St. Edward's. Entombment will be in Most Holy Redeemer Cemetery, Niskayuna.
