Obituary  OBITUARY: Christie M. Jamieson, 93, of the Lafayette Center Genesis Elder Care in Franconia, died Saturday, December 16, 2000, at the facility.

She was born November 11, 1907, in Lisbon, NH. A daughter of Gilbert and Christie (Burt) Morse. Mrs. Jamieson was a retired elementary school teacher, having taught for 37 years. She spent the majority of that time working in the Lancaster system and retired from the Winchester School System. Teaching fourth grade was her favorite. Mrs. Jamieson was a member of the Retire Teachers Association, was active in the Lisbon Shared Ministry and devoted to her family. Her warm, giving manner earned the respect and devotion of all who knew her.

Surviving family includes three sons, John Jamieson, or Lakeport, NH; Donald Jamieson of Waterbury, VT; and William Jamieson of Wellington, ME; a daughter, Blythe Thomas of Effingham, NH; several grand and great-grandchildren; two nieces, Barbara White of Lisbon and Jean Martin of Athol, MA; a half-sister, Ruth McKown. Her husband, Stewart P. Jamieson and sister, Madeline Bishop, predeceased her.

Services: Committal services will be held in the next spring in Randolph, VT at the discretion of the family.

Memorial donations may be made in her memory to the Lisbon Public Library, School Street, Lisbon, NH 03585 or Alzheimer’s Association, Greater New Hampshire Chapter, 10 Ferry Street, Suite 419, Concord, NH 03301.

Funeral arrangements and care have been entrusted to the Pillsbury Funeral Home.
