He was born in Randolph, the son of Steward and Goldie (Morse) Jamieson. He attended Randolph grade school and graduated from Randolph High School with the class of 1944.

He served in the Navy during World War II and was a longtime resident ofd Laconia. He worked for the printing business and for the Littleton Courier, the Laconia Evening Citizen, Lerman Press and Hazen Printing Co. He was a member of the N.H. Graphic Arts Association and the N.H. Professional Photographers Association.

He was a former member of the Laconia Congregational Church and a 50-year member of the American Legion Wilkins-Smith Post No. 1 in Laconia, where he served as chaplain, trustee and a member of the board of directors. He was also a former member of the Laconia Lodge of Elks. He liked gardening and boating.

Survivors include a son, W. Scott Jamieson of Grand Rapids, Iowa; two daughters, Susan Kelly of Littleton, N.H. and Becky Guyer of Sanbornton, N.H; two brothers, Donald Jamieson of Waterbury Center, and William Jamieson of Wellington, Maine; a sister, Blythe Thomas of East Wakefield, N.H. and Mulberry, Fla; three grandchildren and many nieces and nephews.

Memorial services were held June 19 at the carriage house of Wilkinson-Beane Funeral Home, 164 Pleasant St., Laconia.

In lieu of flowers, memorial donations may be made to the Wilkins-Smith Post No. 1 American Legion Memorial Scholarship Fund, P.O. Box 494, Laconia, NH 03247-0494; or to Community Health and Hospice Inc., 780 N. Main St., Laconia 03246.

Wilkinson-Beane Funeral Home in Laconia was in charge of arrangements.
