She was born December 20, 1942 in Bakersfield to the late Floyd Sr. & Beulah (Foote) Jewett.

Babe graduated from Naugatuck High School in Connecticut with the class of 1961. She married Morton Reed and they farmed together for many years. She also worked in manufacturing at IBM for nearly 20 years. Wherever Babe worked she poured her heart and soul into her job, always showing up and ready to lend a helping hand. She enjoyed going for rides and traveling to tag sales throughout the area. She will be remembered as an exceptional mother, and an excellent cook!

She is survived by her husband, Morton Reed; their son, Dustin Reed; her sisters, Bertha "Sis" Reed, and Diane Chaplin; and several nieces & nephews. In addition to her parents, Babe was predeceased by her siblings, Ronald Jewett, Cedric Jewett, Floyd Jewett Jr., and Darlene Jewett.

Babe's family would like to thank Bayada Hospice for the exceptional care and support they provided.

In keeping with her wishes, there will be no public services.

ObituarySep 27, 2024  OBITUARY: It is with the saddest of hearts the family of Olive Marilyn Barry announce her death. She died at home on September 26,2024 at the age of 89 surrounded by her loving family.

She was born October 06,1934 to the late William & Alice Lapierre in Newport, VT. She joined 2 older brothers, Emile and Donald and became the big sister to her younger brother William "Billy". She graduated from Newport High School in 1953. She worked at a bank in Newport after graduation and fondly spoke of her time working there, especially of when her and her friend Joyce were busted for hiding chips in the filing cabinets and drinks in the toilet tank - she sure was a risk taker!! After meeting Lloyd Barry on a blind date and telling her girlfriend that 'she'd hate to meet him in a dark alley she married Lloyd on June 27, 1959 and shared almost 51 years together as they created a wonderful, loving home and four children all of whom survive her.

She opened her home to many, many children that she babysat in her home after becoming a mom herself. She LOVED spending time with her children, grandchildren, and great- grandchildren and her lifelong friends. She enjoyed playing cards and doing search word puzzles and reminiscing while viewing any of the thousands of printed pictures she had. She also looked forward to and enjoyed her monthly breakfast outings with the bank girls and lunches with the "Northern Ave" girls and trips to Maine with her sister in law Bev Chapdelaine.

She was predeceased by her husband Lloyd and her brother Emile "Bill" Lapierre and Annette (sister-in-law) and her brother Donald Lapierre and by all her brothers & sisters in law on Lloyds ' side.

She is survived by her sons, James, William and Dee, Thomas and Sheila and by daughter Susan and Todd and by her 43 grandchildren of which 25 are great-grandsons with a 26* great grand Baby Houghten arriving in February 2025.

She is also survived by her brother William "Billy" and Delores Lapierre, and by sister-in-law Jackie Lapierre and many, many nieces, and nephews and by her special lifelong friends Joyce Buckland, Rita Fortin, and Shirley Baird.

Friends may call from 1P.M. until the hour of the service at 2P.M. on Friday October 4, 2024 at the Curtis-Britch & Bouffard Funeral Home, 37 Lake Road, Newport. Interment will follow at St. Mary’s Cemetery in Newport. He was born July 6, 1955 in St. Albans to the late Floyd & Doris (Marcy) Rhodes.

A true Vermonter through and through, Jim was a graduate of Enosburg Falls High School and went on to marry the love of his life, Suzanne (Tessier) Rhodes. They were married for 48 years until her passing in 2022. As the proud owner of Outpost Guns & Ammo, his dedication and expertise in firearms shone through, a reflection of his deep-seated love for hunting and history. His gun shop was the local hub for telling stories, learning about guns, and spending time with friends.

Jim's family and close friends meant the world to him, and he was loyal to them all. If Jim was on your side, you could always count on him being in your corner to defend you. You could also count on him letting you know what you did wrong in private! His love for family knew no bounds. He also had a generous spirit when it came to children, he would give his last dollar if it would keep a child from going hungry.

He is survived by his children, Mary Rhodes, and Shane Rhodes and his wife Krista; four grandchildren, James Rhodes Mason, Cameron Rhodes, Harper Cole, and Barrett Rhodes; siblings, Cathy Rhodes-Gibney and her husband Chad, and Jack Rhodes; mother-in-law, Joyce Tessier; siblings-in-law, Brian & Sue Tessier, Ricky & Cher Tessier, Kenny & Nancy Tessier, Jean & George Jacobs, Valerie & Rodney Lucier, Dale Tessier, Randy Tessier, Kevin & Carol Tessier, Sonja & Doug Lacross, Tammy & Bert Combs, Jeffrey Tessier, and Denis & Heidi Tessier; and several nieces & nephews. In addition to his parents, James was predeceased by his wife, Suzanne Rhodes; father-in-law, Nelson Tessier; sisters-in-law, Jennifer Tessier, and Teresa Tessier; and his niece, Heather Lucier.

Friends & family are invited to Jim's life celebration to include a graveside memorial service on Friday, November 8, 2024 at 11:00 AM at the Richford Center Cemetery, South Richford Road, Richford, VT.

Dean was a proud farmer, having worked for the Wright Farm for over three decades. In addition to his work in agriculture, he had a passion for cutting and selling firewood, a trade he enjoyed immensely. Dean was also a valued member of the Berkshire Fire Department, where he selflessly served for many years.

He is survived by his siblings, Diane Delisle, and Daniel Randall and his wife Sharon; and many friends, nieces & nephews. In addition to his parents, Dean was predeceased by his brothers, David Randall, and Doug Randall; and his faithful companion, Wizzer.

In keeping with Dean's wishes, services will be held privately at the convenience of his family.
