| Obituary | Mar 28, 2022 | OBITUARY: Theresa A. Lamore, age 94, passed away on Monday, March 21, 2022 at The Manor Nursing Home in Morrisville. She was born on November 25, 1927 in Montgomery Center, the daughter of Austin and Alberta (Ploof) Lumbra. Theresa graduated from Enosburg Falls High School in 1945 and married Romeo Lamore on April 24, 1947. They had two children: Gale St. Cyr and Jeffrey Lamore. They raised their family in Montgomery Center and remained there until the fall of 2016 when they moved to Hyde Park to be closer to their son and his family. In the fall of 2018, Theresa moved into assisted living at The Manor in Morrisville. Theresa served as the Montgomery Town Clerk for 28 years, retiring in 1988. She belonged to the St. Anne Society of the St. Isidore Church in Montgomery Center and was active in the church and parish hall for many years. Theresa was a member of the Red Hat Society in Montgomery as well as a monthly "500" card club. She very much enjoyed eating out at different restaurants and socializing with the local ladies. She was also an avid Red Sox fan. Theresa and her husband Romeo liked to travel in their younger/middle years. They made several trips to Hawaii and Aruba, participated in a family trip to Disney World, organized a family trip to New Orleans, and went gambling several times in Atlantic City. Theresa enjoyed being active and loved spending time with her family, especially her granddaughters and great grandchildren. She provided many wonderful family gatherings that included great food, decorations, and fun. She especially loved playing card games with family members and bingo on Friday nights at the parish hall. Theresa was predeceased by her husband Romeo on May 11, 2017 and her daughter Gale St. Cyr on August 4, 2018. Theresa is survived by her son Jeffrey Lamore and wife Jo Ann (Kinney) of Hyde Park; granddaughter Chelsea Lamore of Johnson; granddaughter Brandi Dannat, husband Devin, son Liam and daughter Raegen, all of Eden; sister Connie (Lumbra) McFarland of Montgomery Center; brother Walter Lumbra of Morrisville; and many nieces and nephews. Special thanks to the staff at The Manor in Morrisville for taking such good care of Theresa over the past three years. A Mass of Christian Burial will be held on Saturday, April 2, at 2:00 PM at the St. Isidore Church, 169 Mountain Road, Montgomery Center, VT 05471. Interment will take place this spring in St. Isidore’s Catholic Cemetery. Gamache, age 80, passed away peacefully on Wednesday, March 30, 2022 surrounded by her loving family, and her beloved cat, Ellie on her lap, at her home in Swanton. She was born in Swanton on November 13, 1941 to the late Milo & Lucina (Bourgeois) Quebec. Joyce was born and raised in Swanton and attended St. Anne’s Academy. She dated “city boys” until she met a country boy who stole her entire heart. She married Ferdinand “Junior” Gamache in 1962 and discovered her love for country living and farm life. Joyce and Junior milked the cows twice a day, every day, side by side, for over 50 years. They had two wonderful children and made their home in the original farmhouse. Junior’s parents both passed at young ages, and Junior and Joyce helped raise all his siblings. Joyce was an only child and came into a huge farm family. She embraced Junior siblings as her own. Joyce had the biggest heart and was a genuinely wonderful woman who loved everyone. She loved to watch the birds in the bird feeder, read novels, feed her chickens, and she had a soft spot for cats, she might’ve been known as the “Crazy Cat Lady.” Junior often speaks of how beautiful Joyce was from the moment he laid his eyes on her, until the day she passed. She was affectionately known as “Bim” by her grandchildren and great grandchildren, who loved her endlessly. She is survived by her soul mate and lifelong partner of almost 60 years, Junior Gamache of Swanton; her children, Joey Gamache, and Jill Torrey and her significant other Jeff all of Swanton; grandchildren, Kyle Baker and his wife Desiree, and Kody Baker and his wife Olivia; great grandchildren, Kyiah, Sadie and Wren Baker; brothers and sisters-in-law, Eddie Gamache and his wife Gail, Buvy Gamache and his wife Linda, Joan “Girly” Roy and her husband Paul, Debra Whitney, Janice Eaton and her husband Jimmy, Betty Ann Gamache, and Becky Gamache and her significant other Dan; lifelong friends, Donna Beaulieu and Donald Greenwood; special friends, Theresa Fitzgerald and Tanya Charland; and numerous nieces, nephews, cousins, special friends. Besides her parents, Joyce was predeceased by her brother-in-law, Maurice “Joe” Gamache; and a sister-in-law, Jeannette “Nan” Fortune. Mandus served in the U.S. Navy during WWII and returned to become a machinist for Union Carbide Consumer Products, where he worked for over 35 years. Mandus loved flying and was a member of the American Legion Post #1 and the Veterans of Foreign Wars Post #758. He is survived by his five children, David and his wife Dianne Quebec of Fairfax, Deborah and her husband John Hauck of St. Albans Bay, Dean Quebec of San Diego, Calif., Pam and her husband John Sweeney of Fairfield, Kim and her husband Arthur Hughes of St. Albans, eight grandchildren, five great grandchildren, several nieces and nephews. Besides his parents and his wife he was predeceased by his siblings Rudolph, Milo, Charles, Frank, Clarence "Chummie," Corrine, Sadie and Elaine. | Obituary | Mar 4, 2023 | OBITUARY: Boscawen, NH - Thelma Mae (Quebec) Long, aged 85, went home to be with the Lord on Friday, March 3, 2023 at Epsom HealthCare Center. The seventh of nine children, she was born on January 28, 1938 in Swanton, VT, the daughter of Charles and Mildred (Warner) Quebec. Thelma graduated from St. Anne's Academy in 1956 and soon after moved to New Hampshire. Thelma was employed by Tilton Dress Company in Franklin for 30 years, then moved on to Crow Hill in Franklin, and Freudenberg-NOK in Bristol until her retirement. After retiring, she still continued as a "foster grandmother" at St. Paul's School in Franklin, and another school in Concord. Some of her favorite things were giraffes, Elvis Presley, gifting Christmas and birthday presents, and spending time with family when able. She also enjoyed dancing, going to the beach, traveling, especially to Las Vegas, going to the races in Loudon, and just having fun. She was a great mother and grandmother and will be truly missed. Thelma is predeceased by her great-grandson Austin Cote, her longtime companion Jim Cronin, and her siblings; Donald Quebec, Elaine (Quebec) Sullivan, Helen Quebec, Lola (Quebec) Jettie, all from Vermont; Nancy (Quebec) Van Vliet, of La Colle, QC, Canada; Patricia (Quebec) Bradley, of Franklin; and Sheila (Quebec) Lavigne of New Boston. She is survived by her daughter, Penny Clark and husband Dwight of Henderson, NV; grandson Jeffrey Cote of Laconia; granddaughter Jacqueline Clark of Henderson, NV; sister Carla (Quebec) Cahill and husband Tom of Strafford; Goddaughter and niece Carolyn Miller of Franklin; Mystique Mara of Laconia, who was like a second granddaughter; and many, many nieces and nephews. SERVICES: No formal services will be held. A scattering of ashes on the Isle of Shoals will take place at a later date.2 |

| Obituary | Jul 5, 2024 | OBITUARY: EPSOM – Gordon N. “Tom” Huckins, 100, of Epsom, formerly of Pittsfield, passed away surrounded by family on Monday, July 1, 2024 at Epsom Healthcare Center. He was born on February 25, 1924 in Epsom, son of the late Charles N. and Doris (Waterhouse) Huckins. Tom was educated in the Concord schools, a graduate of Concord High School, he then went on to serve his country in the United States Army Air Force from 1942-1946 as an airplane crew chief. Following his honorable discharge from the military, Tom went on to become a graduate of General Motors Institute in Detroit, MI. For several years Gordon owned and operated Huckin’s Chevrolet and later retired from a salesman position with Walt Lang Chevrolet. Tom was known for being fair and honest as a salesman, he was known as gracious and giving as a human and enjoyed his role as match maker, fixing up many of his own friends. Besides his parents, Gordon was predeceased by his wife, Ruth (McQuesten) Huckins, and two sisters, Louise Garland and Virginia Yeaton. He is survived by several nieces and nephews and his half-brother, Charles Huckins of Pembroke as well as numerous friends and acquaintances. A graveside service with military honors will be held on Saturday, July 6, 2024 at 11AM at Floral Park Cemetery, Pittsfield. In lieu of flowers please consider a donation in his memory to Mission 22, 694 N. Larch Street #910, Sisters, OR 97759, a nonprofit working to stop veteran suicide or to the Disabled American Veterans, P. O. Box 14301, Cincinnati, OH 45250-0301.
