She graduated from Beeman Academy in 1939 and Castleton State College in 1941.
She married Melvin Bushey on Nov. 7, 1943. He died in 1971.
Mrs. Bushey taught in a one - room schoolhouse in West Ferrisburgh from 1943 to 1945, retiring to be a full - time wife and mother.
She was a member of St. Peter's Catholic Church in Vergennes.
Survivors include five sons, Paul Bushey, Anthony Bushey, Wayne Bushey, all of Vergennes, Dale Bushey of Addison and Kyle Bushey of New Haven; three daughters, Lynn Fuller of Marshfield, Wis., Becky LaBerge of Vergennes and Deborah McCann of Springfield; 18 grandchildren and 12 great - grandchildren; and several nieces and nephews.
She was predeceased by a brother, Frank Tricell; three sisters, Ardelia Mack, Elsie Elmio and Ellen Vincent; two grandchildren and a great - grandson.
The funeral Mass will be celebrated Saturday at 10 a.m. at St. Peter's Catholic Church in Vergennes. Burial will take place in Prospect Cemetery in Vergennes.
Friends may call today from 7 to 9 p.m. at the Brown - McClay Funeral home in Vergennes.
Memorial contributions may be made to American Heart Association, Vermont Affiliate, 434, Hurricane Lane, Williston, 05495.
Arrangements are under the direction of the Brown - McClay Funeral Home.

Doris was born in Leicester, Vt., the daughter of Francis Maynard and Audrey Reba (Wetherell) Tricell, and lived in Rutland for 50 years before moving to Holden in 2008. She attended the Austine School for the Deaf in Brattleboro, Vt. and the Boston School for the Deaf in Randolph. Doris attended St. Patrick's Church in Rutland and the Central Mass. Deaf Senior Citizens Center in Worcester.
She was married for 32 years to William J. Rego, who predeceased her in 1986. She leaves her daughter, Beth Ward and her husband Peter; and granddaughters, Amanda and Kathryn, all of Norton.
Friends and family are invited to attend a calling hour from 10-11 a.m. followed by a funeral service at 11 a.m. on Friday, Sept. 24, in the Miles Funeral Home, 1158 Main St., Holden. Burial will be in Rural Cemetery, Rutland. Donations in Doris' memory may be made to the Central Mass. Deaf Senior Center, c/o St. Matthews Parish House, 695 Southbridge Street, Worcester, MA 01610.

ObituaryDec 11, 2015  OBITUARY: The Lord took our loving mom, (Janet Lumbra), home on Dec. 9, 2015. Janet was born on December 10, 1937 in Worcester, Mass., the daughter of Emile and Alberta Lehto.

Janet graduated in 1957 and shortly there after relocated to Fairfax, where she raised her family in 2009 Janet moved to Rutland to be closer to her daughter Mary.

Janet contributed to many organizations to include March of Dimes, St. Jude’s Children’s Fund, The American Heart Association and the Disabled Veterans.

Janet’s biggest enjoyment in life was spending time with her family. She loved to read, play bingo, work on puzzles, yard sales and relaxing on the front porch on a nice day.

She will be missed by her four daughters; Lynn Luman of Fairfax, Laurie Reyes of Bennington, Mary Jenkins of Rutland, and Karen Swain of Orlando, Fla; two sons, David Lumbra of Fairfax and John Lumbra of Alabama; a sister, Rita Boudreau of Oxford, Mass; two brothers, David Lehto and Richard Lehto; 16 grandchildren; four great grandchildren; nieces and nephews.

She was predeceased by a sister Helen Rawls and a granddaughter Khristina Luman.

Friends may call from 10 to 11 a.m. on Tuesday, Dec. 15, 2015 at the Aldous Funeral Home, 44 North Main St, Rutland. Burial will follow in the Mt. Calvary Cemetery in St. Albans at 2 p.m.
