Before retiring in the summer of 1972, he had worked most of his life as a laborer in the field of construction. He was an honored World War II Army veteran. He was a lifetime member of the Swift River Sportmen's Club. John enjoyed going to the many field trials with is wife and friend, Walter Kulig where his ''coon'' dogs received many awards. He was an avid hunter and enjoyed the great outdoors. He was a communicant of St. Thomas Church. John was a devoted family man and friend.
He was predeceased by his devoted wife, Rita (Pierce-Holcomb) Wegiel in 1986. He is survived by his 3 loving sons, John M. Wegiel, Jr. of Belchertown, Mark A. Wegiel of Three Rivers & Donald Holcomb of Ware. He also leaves daughters, Norma Ann Jutras of Wales and Elizabeth Tereska of Palmer & his beloved dog, Peaches. He also leaves his sister, Irene Beaupre of CT; a brother, Stephen Wegiel of FL, also 19 grandchildren and many great-grandchildren whom he was very proud of. He was also predeceased by a daughter, Marie E. Lazarick. A funeral service will be Wed. at 10 a.m. in the Beers & Story Palmer Funeral Home. Burial is in Oak Knoll Cemetery. Calling hours are Tuesday from 2-4 &7-9 p.m. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made in memory of John to Quaboag Valley Hospice, 103 Fairview St., Palmer, MA 01069. The memorial service will be at 10 a.m. Saturday in Beers & Story Belchertown Funeral Home, 10 Maple Street, Belchertown. Burial will be in Quabbin Park Cemetery, Ware. Memorial contributions may be made to a charity of the donor's choice.

Tina was born January 22, 1962 in Ware, MA, the daughter of Norma A. (Holcomb) Jutras. Tina has been a life long resident of Monson. Her career was was a bus driver for special needs children, her passion was her love of family and friends. She enjoyed live music, motorcycles, the ocean shore and Mystic seaport. Tina would often have "spur of the moment " road trips with family and friends. She was an active member for many years with the Palmer Cowboy's Booster Club and the Pathfinder Athletic Booster Club.
Tina leaves her loving husband of over 32 years, Donald J. Mann; their children, Dylan Mann and his wife Bethany of Monson, Drew Mann and his partner Sarah Deyo of Three Rivers, Derek Mann of Monson and Desiree Mann of Monson; her mother, Norma (Holcomb) Jutras of Belchertown; a brother, Glen Holcomb of Belchertown; sister, April Holcomb of Belchertown; Michele Jutras of Enosburg Falls VT; and Sister in law Donna Lee (Mann) Blatchley and Her husband Matt of Monson; six grandchildren Madison, Emily, Kevin, Makayla, Gloria and Christopher; many aunts, uncles, nieces, nephews and friends. Tina was predeceased by her step-father Roland Jutras.
Funeral services will be held Saturday, February 22, 2020 in Lombard Funeral Home 3 Bridge St. Monson. Visiting hours will be held from 11am-2pm. A service will be at 2pm to conclude Tina's funeral services.
In lieu of flowers memorial contributions may be made to BayState Hospice 280 Chestnut St. 6th Floor, Springfield MA 01199
