Funeral: Norman did not want any type of service. In 1973, he had made arrangements to donate his body to science with the Southwestern Medical School Willed Body Program in Dallas. His wishes were honored.
Memorials: For those desiring, Norman would really appreciate your making a donation to the Mansfield Animal Shelter, where he adopted Pepper years ago. The address is 407 Industrial Blvd., Mansfield 76063. That little dog made a big impact on his life.
Norman H. Wright was born June 29, 1912, in Chelmsford, Mass. At a very young age, he went to work for Sikorsky Aircraft in Stratford, Conn. Sikorsky became Vought Sikorsky, later became Chance Vought, and later LTV. When Norman was 27, he married the most beautiful girl in Bridgeport, Conn., Ruth Farnsworth. Norman and his family transferred to Texas, with the company, in 1949. Norman loved building aircraft and working on anything mechanical. He retired from LTV in 1975, after 46 years of service to the company. "Stormin' Norman" was a "man for all seasons" and the skills and knowledge that he shared with his friends and family will live forever. He enjoyed 26 years of life after his retirement and believe me, he lived those years to the fullest!
Norman was preceded in death by his parents, Leonard and Adeline Wright; a stillborn son; three brothers; and his sister.
Survivors: Brother and sister-in-law, Bob and Peggy Wright of Stratford, Conn; wife of 24 years, Jerilyn Wright of Alvarado; first wife of 32 years and mother of his children, Ruth De Marie of De Soto; oldest son, Norman L. Wright and his wife, Merle, of Naples, Fla; grandchildren, Julie Jones of Riverside, Calif., and Edward Wright of Mesa, Ariz; oldest daughter, Joyce L. Miller and her sons, Dean Miller and Derek Miller, all of Southern California; youngest daughter, Christina M. Swank and her husband, Doug, and grandson, Ian MacKellar, all of Bernalillo, N.M; youngest son, John W. Wright and his wife, Maureen, and their children, Daniel and Kyle, all of Arlington; mother-in-law, Ingrid Warren; sister-in-law, Deborah Rahner, and her husband, Donald, all of Albuquerque, N.M., where Norman met Jerilyn while awaiting grandson Ian's birth; seven great-grandchildren; and numerous nieces and nephews.

Born in Bridgeport, he was the son of the late Leonard and Adeline Brooke Wright. He was a lifelong area resident and had lived in Stratford since 1957.
Mr. Wright was retired from the New England Printing Co. after 41 years of service.
He was a World War II veteran of the U.S. Army serving in England, France, Belgium, Luxembourg and Germany with the 323rd Field Artillery Battalion of the 83rd Infantry Division and participating in five campaigns.
After his retirement, Robert was a volunteer with Meals on Wheels and the American Red Cross. In addition, Robert was an avid amateur tennis player.
Survivors include his beloved wife of 50 years, Virginia (Peg) Wright of Stratford; his devoted son, Daniel R. Wright and his wife, Susan, of Shelton; one granddaughter, Ashleigh; and one niece, Lois Kuba and her husband, Henry, of Shelton.
A memorial service will take place in the Trinity Episcopal Church, Trumbull at a later date and will be announced by the Dennis & D"Arcy Funeral Home, 2611 Main Street, Stratford.
