In the valuation of Wellfleet, he is put down, "1 poll and 1 poll 'not ratable', 1 house £1 10s. 0d., 2 oxen, 2 cows, 1 swine."

Note: According to Barnstable Probate, Simon Newcomb of Wellfleet, "yeoman", gave to his son Simon, "land near my house"; to his sons Simon and Theophilus, the hold house field, bounded on the north by the Truro line, on the east, west and south by John Y. Newcomb's land; also meadow; to his daughter Huldah, wife of David Atkins, house and land; to his sons Jeremiah, Seth and Theophilus, the residue; to his grandson, jesse Newcomb and granddaughter Rebecca S. Stevens, one heifer, to be divided; to daughters Zerviah Crowell, Huldah Atkins, Grace Pierce and Priscilla Holbrook, the residue of certain property. His son Simon was appointed executor.3
