He was predeceased by his beloved wife of 54 years, Virginia M. He leaves a sister, Grace Drake of Worcester; 2 sons: Michael L. Tomasello and his wife Amy L. of Ossipee, NH, Vincent J. Tomasello and his wife Mary J. of Barre; 2 daughters: Deborah A. Claflin and her husband Kernan M. of Hancock, NH, Shirley M. Stevens and her husband Michael P. of Hubbardston; and 9 grandchildren: Rebecca, Michael Eric, Kaitlyn, Jason, Taunya, Benjamin, Daniel, Meghan, Brianna; and 6 great grandchildren: Jayden Dominic, Sophia, Sarah, Aaron, Keirnan and Suphattra. Born in Salice, Sicily, son of Nunzio and Stefana Tomasello.

Dominic attended schools in Barre, MA. He was a proud Navy veteran of WWll. He was a lifetime member and one of the founding members of the American Legion Post 404 in South Barre. He helped to establish the Barre Little League in 1953. Dom was the owner of the Barre Bowling Center for nearly 3 decades.

His favorite past-times were playing cards with his family, reading, crossword puzzles, bus trips with the Golden Agers, serving as the Commander of Post 404, and he was an avid sports fan. He especially loved his yearly trips to Cape Ann in Gloucester, MA on Memorial Day weekends with his beloved wife and family.

The funeral will be held on Monday, Dec. 6 with a Mass at 10:30 a.m in St. Thomas-A-Becket Church, Vernon Ave., South Barre. Burial will follow in St. Joseph's Cemetery, Barre. Calling hours will be held on Sunday, Dec. 5, from 3-5 p.m in Pillsbury Funeral Home, 96 South Barre Rd., Barre. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to the American Legion Post 404, P.O. Box 302, South Barre, MA 01074.
