ObituarySep 8, 2004  OBITUARY: SOUTH BARRE Virginia M. (Labor) Tomasello, 74, of 7 Fir St., died on Tues. Sept 7, 2004, at home. She leaves her husband, Dominic L. Tomasello of S. Barre, 2 sons: Michael L. Tomasello and his wife Amy L. of Norwich, CT, Vincent J. Tomasello and his wife Mary J. of Barre; 2 daughters: Deborah A. Claflin and her husband Kernan M.of Hancock, NH, Shirley M. Stevens and her husband Michael P. of Hubbardston and 9 grandchildren: Rebecca, Michael Eric, Kaitlyn, Jason, Taunya, Ben, Daniel, Meghan, Brianna, and 1 great grandchild Sarah. Born in Athol, she was the daughter of Aarved and Hazel (Whitcomb) Labor. Virginia attended schools in Athol and was a member of St. Thomas-A-Becket Church in S. Barre. Mrs. Tomasello worked as a screen printer for L & J in Worcester, was president of the Women's Auxiliary Post 404, and was a member of the Hubbardston & Barre Golden Agers. She loved to be out in nature and loved Gloucester, Mass. The funeral will be held on Fri. Sept. 10. 2004 from the Pillsbury Funeral Home, 96 South Barre Rd., Barre, with a Mass at 11:00 am in St. Thomas - A - Becket Church, Vernon Ave., S. Barre. Burial will be in St. Joseph Cemetery, Barre. Calling hours will be held on Fri. Sept. 10, from 9:30 am to 10:30 am in the funeral home. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to either the Anne-Marie Cancer Fund, P.O. Box 56, Barre, MA 01005-0056, or to UMass Memorial Hospice, P.O. Box 2795, Worcester, MA 01613-9938.
