She was born in West Dover, Vt., and graduated from Wilmington High School in 1942. She graduated from Keene State College in Keene, N.H., in 1946. She taught school in Springfield, Vt., until her marriage to Kenneth G. Giguere in 1947. They moved to Troy, N.Y., where her husband attended RPI. After her children were of school age, she did substitute teaching for 15 years. In 1985, they retired to Cape Coral. She always enjoyed volunteer work and sports of all kinds. She played golf and tennis at Cape Coral Golf and Tennis Resort. She was a member of Faith Presbyterian Church in Cape Coral.

In 2008, she moved to Greenville to be closer to family.

She is predeceased by her husband, Kenneth George Giguere, and son, Ronald Kenneth Giguere.

She is survived by her son, Jeffrey Kent Giguere (Nancy) of Greenville, six grandchildren and one great grandchild.

A memorial service will be held at Faith Presbyterian Church on Saturday, April 5, at 3 p.m., in the Memory Garden.

The family wishes to express its deep gratitude to the caring staff at The Woodlands at Furman, Golden Care caregivers and Open Arms Hospice.
