ObituaryJan 18, 1935  OBITUARY: Following a brief illness, Dr. W. Woolsey Bellamy, formerly practitioner in Dorchester, but
during recent years a medical recorder, died early yesterday at his home, 36 Adams Street,
Watertown, of pneumonia.

Funeral services will be held at the Mt. Auburn Cemetery Chapel, January 19, 1935, at 2 o'clock.

Dr. Bellamy leaves his widow, Mrs. Elsie (Stark) Bellamy; his father, William Bellamy; two
brothers, Robert Bellamy, of Dorchester and Albert M. Bellamy, of Jamaica Plain, and a sister,
Miss Margaret B. Bellamy, of Winthrop.

He was a member of the American Medical Association, Harvard Club, University Club and the
Charles River Country Club.

Dr. Bellamy was a native of Dorchester, the son of William and Anna M. (Johnson) Bellamy. He
prepared for Harvard at the Boston Latin School, entering the university with the class of 1900.
After two years there he decided to study medicine and went to the Harvard Medical School,
from which he was graduated in 1902.

After practicing in Dorchester he decided to take up medical recording and became associated
with several medical groups, including the American Medical Association.
