ObituaryMay 1, 1930  OBITUARY: Mrs. Rebecca Boles Grant, 69, widow of the late Guy L. Grant, for many years a resident of Massena, died at the home of her daughter, Mrs. Ernest (Ethel) Winter, in Detroit, Thursday, (April 24, 1930) her death following an illness which had lasted about two years. The remains were brought to the home of her son, Harold Grant, in Brasher Falls, where the funeral was held Sunday afternoon. Rev. D. W. McVeigh, pastor of the Methodist church of Norfolk, conducted the services.

Mrs. Grant was born in 1859 in Osnabruck Center, Ontario, being one of ten children of the late John and Margaret Boles. When a young girl she came to Louisville, where she made her home with her sister, Mrs. James H. Richards, at Richards' Landing until her marriage to Guy L. Grant, of Massena. When she came to this village where she lived until the death of her husband in July of last year, and then went to live with her daughter, Mrs. Winter.

Surviving is her daughter and two sons, Harold Grant of Brasher Falls and Oral W. Grant of Detroit.

Burial was made in the family plot in the Raymondville cemetery.
