Roy married Mildred Kathryn Clough daughter of Abraham and Bertha Foster Clough on August 6, 1936, in Marshfield, Vermont. Mildred was born May 25, 1920 in Graniteville, Vermont. She passed away on January 28, 2000 in Berlin, Vermont and was cremated. At his request "Mike" was laid to rest in a pine box and his wife's urn was buried by his side at the same time.
