He was born Feb. 22, 1927, in Tyson, the son of Carroll and Edna Wade. He attended Tyson and Ludlow schools. He was married to Carol Brink. She died in 1997. He worked as a truck driver for several years and later was a mill worker at Branchwood in Randolph until his retirement. He loved the outdoors and enjoyed listening to country music.
He is survived by four sons; Carroll Wade, Jamie Wade, Gordon Wade and Rusty Wade, a daughter Rosalee Wakefield, four brothers; Ira, George, Charles and Harley Wade and three sisters; Edna, Blanche and Rosella, two grandchildren and one great-granddaughter. In addition to his wife he was predeceased by two brothers; Oscar and Sam and a sister Hazel.
Graveside services will be held Tuesday, April 21, 2009, at 10 a.m. at the Fairview Cemetery, Bethel. There are no calling hours.
