| Obituary | Oct 12, 2011 | OBITUARY: RUTLAND - Lillian T. Connor, 88, died Monday October 10, 2011 at Mountain View Center in Rutland. She was born on Feb. 13, 1923 in Pleasantville, N.Y. the daughter of Paul and Julia (Ilko) Grubbe. She was a graduate of White Plains, N.Y. High School. Lillian will always be remembered as a loving wife, mother, grandmother and great grandmother whose apple pie, eye of the round roast, chicken fricasse and the tradition of gingerbread men for all will be forever in our hearts. She had four children Thomas Connor and his wife Jennifer of Jamaica, Nora Connor May of Rutland, James Conner and his wife Marianne of Rutland, and Patricia Bailey of Rutland; nine grandchildren and four great grandchildren; nieces and nephews. She was predeceased by her husband Bernard J. Connor and a grandson Brent May; three brothers and three sisters. Funeral services will be private and held at the families convenience. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions in Lillian's memory may be made to VT Catholic Charities, 24 Center Street, Suite 5, Rutland, VT 05701.
