ObituaryMar 8, 1988  OBITUARY: Mrs. Beatrice Hurd Shotter, 92, Route 8, Rock City Road, Kingsport, TN, died Saturday afternoon (March 5, 1988) at Greystone Nursing Home.

A native of Springfield, VT, she had been a resident of Kingsport since 1948 and was the oldest member of Orebank Missionary Baptist Church.

Surviving are three daughters, Miss Velma Giddings, Sneedville, Mrs. Arnold (Barbara) Jordon, Blountville, and Mrs. Loraine Kuhner, Adams, Mass; one son, Laurence H. Giddings, Springfield, VT; 12 grandchildren; 21 great-grandchildren; one sister, Mrs. Gladys Lambert, Concord, NH; one brother, John L. Hurd, Springfield, VT; one half-brother, Glen W. Hazen, Virginia Beach, VA.

Services will be conducted at 11 a.m. Tuesday, March 8, 1988 at Orebank Missionary Baptist Church with the Rev. David Frazier and the Rev. Guy Tilley officiating.

The body will be taken to the church one hour prior to services.

Burial will be in Tri-Cities Memory Gardens.

Those who wish may make memorial contributions to Orebank Missionary Baptist Church, Orebank Road, Kingsport, TN.

Hamlett-Dobson Funeral Home (downtown) is in charge of arrangements.
