ObituaryDec 31, 2013  OBITUARY: DANBY - Peter A. Gaiotti Jr., 86, of Danby died December 28, 2013, in Burlington following a long illness.

He was born December 22, 1927, the son of Peter A. Gaiotti Sr. and Angelina (Basso) Gaiotti in Mount Tabor, VT.

Peter worked for Vermont Marble Company in Danby for 30 years, and then 17 years for General Electric in Rutland, prior to his retirement.

He was a member of St. Patrick's Church in Wallingford.

Peter loved to do things for the family and friends, and enjoyed hunting and fly fishing.

Survivors include his wife of 65 years, Priscilla M. Gaiotti; his five children: Frances Baker and her husband, Ronald Baker Sr. of Danby; Richard P. Gaiotti and his wife, Pam of Danby; Nate Gaiotti and his wife, Terry of Wallingford; Audrey Holloway and her husband, Craig of Newport News, VA; and Teresa Gaiotti and her fiancé, John Ortega of Land O' Lakes, FL; two brothers, Charles Gaiotti of Danby and Edward Gaiotti and his wife, Linda of Glens Falls, NY; a very close family friend, Rita Hansen of Rutland; 15 grandchildren, 15 great-grandchildren, an aunt and numerous cousins, nieces and nephews.

He was predeceased by a brother, Eugene Gaiotti.

Friends may call Sunday, January 5, 2014, from 3 p.m. until 5 p.m. at the Wallingford-Aldous Funeral Home.

Funeral services will be held at 10 a.m. Monday, January 6, at St. Patrick's Church in Wallingford. Burial will be at a later date in the Danby-Scottsville Cemetery.
