ObituaryNov 20, 1995  OBITUARY: SOAP LAKE - Sumner F. Guilmette, 75, a 28-year resident of Soap Lake, died Friday, Nov. 17, 1995, at his home.

He was born May 24, 1920, in South Richford, Vt., to Everts and Vivian (Haire) Guilmette. He was raised and educated in South Richford.

He married Thelma Lois Davis in Richford, VT on May 30, 1941. He married Millie Johnson and they moved to Cashmere in 1942. He worked for the Schmitten Lumber Co., driving a logging truck. He later owned his own trucks. He moved to Soap Lake in 1967 and married Norma (Lee) Elliott on June 8, 1968, in Cashmere. He worked for the Whitelaw Logging Co. as a driver and mechanic. He retired in 1985.

Survivors include his wife, at the home; three sons, Michael Guilmette of East Wenatchee, Don Elliott of Soap Lake and Ron Elliott of Ephrata; three daughters, Gloria Guilmette of Brewster, Louise St. Onge of Bakersfield, Vt., and Evelyn Aldrich of Richford, Vt; one brother, Richard Guilmette, Enosberg Falls, Vt; 22 grandchildren; and eight great-grandchildren. He was preceded in death by a son and one grandson.
