ObituaryApr 16, 2008  OBITUARY: Donald M. Unwin, 85, of Rockland, died on Monday, April 14, 2008 at the South Shore Rehab and Skilled Nursing Center in Rockland after a period of failing health. He was born in Grafton, Vermont, son of the late Simon and Lucy (Tuttle) Unwin and has made his home in Rockland since 1938. Mr. Unwin was an Army veteran of World War II serving in the armored division. Donald retired after a 37 year career working for the Gem Gravure Company in Hanover developing inks for use in the wiring industry. Husband of the late Barbara (Heffernan) Unwin, he is survived by two sons Donald J. Unwin and his wife Jean of Halifax and Robert E. Unwin and his wife Linda of Rockland. He was the brother of Anna Rogers of VT, Shirley Eddy of VT, Eleanor Lyons of ME and Etta Bunny Bombard of CT. Also surviving are 5 grandchildren, 9 great-grandchildren and several nieces and nephews. Funeral from the Magoun-Biggins Funeral Home, 135 Union Street, ROCKLAND on Friday at 8:15 a.m. Funeral Mass in Holy Family Church at 9:00 a.m. Burial will follow at the Holy Family Cemetery in Rockland.
