She was born in Troy, Vermont, July 1, 1925, the daughter of Guy and Dorris (Percy) Armstrong.

She was the valedictorian of the class of 1943 at Newport Center High School.was married November 25, 1944, in Newport to Leon W. Judd.

Barbara was a member of the United Methodist Church in Rutland and the Retired Senior Volunteer Program and the National Grange.

Surviving are her husband, Leon of Rutland; a son, Robert A. Judd and his wife Gail of Allison Park, Pa; a daughter-in-law, Ella Judd of Monroe, N.C; a sister, Lorene V. Graham of Newport; three brothers, Roger G. Armstrong of St. Johnsbury, Leonard R. Armstrong of Danville, Vt., and William L. Armstrong of Newport News, Va; four grandchildren, 11 great-grandchildren; nieces and nephews.

She was predeceased by a son, Ronald L. Judd, in 2002; and by a brother, T/Sgt Gilbert L. Armstrong, in 1965; and by one sister, Beverly M. Hoadley.

There are no visiting hours or funeral services at this time.
