ObituaryOct 29, 1970  OBITUARY: Clyde Franklin Shufelt, 60, husband of Mrs. Della Smith Shufelt of Alfred, died Sunday at the H.D. Goodall Hospital.

A resident of Sanford for 43 years before moving to Alfred three years ago, he was born May 5, 1910, in Glasgow, MT, a son of Frank and Bella Davis Shufelt.

He was a retired construction worker, attended the Sanford Unitarian Church, and was a member of Sanford-Springvale Memorial Post, VFW, and the building trades' union local of Portsmouth, NH. Mr. Shufelt was a veteran of World War II.

He is survived by his wife; a son, Ernest Shufelt, USA, Germany; a stepson, Boyd Hambleton, Sanford; a daughter, Mrs. Richard (Valerie) Robitaille, Springvale; a stepbrother, Joseph Roxbrough, Brockton, MA; and a grandchild.

Services were held Wednesday afternoon at the Hurd-Heald Funeral Home, 10 Winter Street, with the Rev. C. Arthur Hover, pastor of the Sanford Unitarian Church, officiating. Burial was in Highland Ceme
