(Buzzy) Billado, Jr, 73, of Holland, Vermont passed away on September 22, 2018 in Burlington, VT born on August 14, 1945 in St. Albans to Carroll and Eleanor (Lackey) Billado, Sr. On July 7, 2007 he married Adelle Fortin Shufelt who survives him. Mr. Billado dedicated his life to protecting and serving his community through law enforcement. Among his hobbies he enjoyed carpentry, nature, working with his hands, hunting, fishing, hiking, and camping. He was a member of the Masonic Union Lodge # 62 F & AM of Glover, VT. His family was a very important part of his life. He is survived by his wife Adelle Billado of Holland, VT, and her daughter Dafney Shufelt of Cape Cod, MA, by his daughters: Sherry Paquette and her husband Jeremy of Richford, VT, Darlene Billado and her companion Robert Barton of Sheldon, VT, Tammie Lamoureux and her companion Brian Corwell, Sr of Richford, VT, Mariah Billado of Essex,VT, and Rebecca Billado-Metri and her husband Ramez of Weymouth, MA, by many loved grandchildren and great grandchildren. He is also survived by his siblings: Avris Billado and her companion Junior Miles of Enosburg, VT, Douglas Billado and his wife Ruth of Richford, VT, Barbara Beauregard and her husband Rene of Richford, VT, Kathy Marshia and her husband David of Enosburg, VT, and Daniel Billado and his wife Lynn of Swanton, VT, and numerous nieces and nephews. He is also survived by his sisters and brothers-in-law: Suzanne Sullivan of Maine, Lise and Steve Comeau of Enosburg, VT, Yvon and Susan Fortin of Derby, VT, Diane and Ron DeLaBruere of NY, Elaine and Ron Ashman of Derby, VT, Carole McLean of Newport Center, VT, John Fortin of Alabama, and Rose and Brian Pepin of Derby, VT. He was predeceased by his brothers and sisters: Jeannie Bryce, Dicky Billado, Timmy Billado, and Lisa Lafave. Friends may call from 7-9 P.M. on Monday October 1, 2018 at the Curtis-Britch-Converse-Rushford Funeral Home, 4670 Darling Hill Road, Newport. Funeral services will be held at 11:00 A.M. on Tuesday October 2, 2018 at St. Edward's Catholic Church in Derby Line where a mass of Christian burial will be celebrated. Interment will follow in St. Edward's Cemetery in Derby Line, VT.
