ObituaryNov 7, 2010  OBITUARY: DOVER - Edith Cunningham Crocker died peacefully at home on Nov. 1, 2010 in Dover Mass. She was lovingly surrounded by family at the time.

Edie was84 years old and enjoyed a long, full and vibrant life. Born in Dedham, Mass. on Nov. 13, 1925, she was daughter to Edward and Elizabeth Cunningham.

She was a long-time resident of Dover, moving to Franconia, N.H. for a time and then returning to Westwood, Mass. where she most recently resided.

Edie married Julian Crocker on March 15, 1951 and together they raised four wonderful children.

She is predeceased by Julian in 1999. Edie was a graduate of The Winsor School in Brookline. She was actively involved in numerous charities and donated her time generously.

She was an excellent tennis player, enjoyed gardening, needlepoint, reading and doing crossword puzzles. Her happiest moments were spent with family, particularly with her grandchildren.

Edie is survived by one sister, Margaret C. Clark of Naples, Fla. She is also survived by daughters Dee and husband Keith McKown of Lyman, N.H. and Sarah Crocker of Colchester, Vt. and sons Jay Crocker and wife Maria of Dover, Mass. and Samuel C. Crocker of Hamilton, Mass. She leaves behind six grandchildren: Alyssa McKown, Nicole Crocker, Cary Crocker, Brett Crocker, Samuel Crocker and Carter Crocker.

A service will be held at Saint Dunstan's Episcopal Church in Dover, Mass. on Saturday, Nov. 13, 2010 at 1 p.m. with a gathering to follow. In Edie's memory, please send donations in lieu of flowers to VNA Care Network, 5 Federal Street, Danvers, Massachusetts 01923.
