| Obituary | Mar 14, 2016 | OBITUARY: Virginia "Ginny" Jacobs Riggs passed on March 13th at the Vermont Respite House in Williston. She was predeceased by her loving husband of 60 years, Lawrence H Riggs, on August 3, 2008. Ginny graduated from Richford High School in 1946, attended Burlington Business College and was employed in the Burlington area until her marriage in 1948. She was secretary to the Principal at Champlain Valley Union High School for many years and later retired after ten years as teller at the Hinesburg branch of the Merchants Bank. She will be cremated and go to her final resting place in a beautiful china vase which was a gift from her grandmother, Juna Hamlett, with whom she was very close and lived with her first few years of elementary school in Enosburgh Center, VT.
