ObituaryDec 14, 1977  OBITUARY: HAROLD FRANCIS GREENWOOD, 57, garage foreman for the Missisquoi Division of Saxon Industries, died Wednesday morning at a local hospital following a short illness.

Mr. Greenwood was born in Sheldon, VT, Nov. 9, 1920, the son of Frank and Mildred (Montgomery) Greenwood. He was an Army veteran of World War II and a member of the Sheldon Springs Post 88, the American Legion, the Franklin County Sheriff’s Association, the National Sheriff’s Association and Local 340 the Brotherhood of Pulp, Sulphite and Paperworkers Union.

He is survived by his wife Cecile (Dubois) Greenwood of Sheldon; a son, Rocky Harold Greenwood of Sheldon; two daughters, Mrs. Joseph (Nancy) Brier of Sheldon and Deborah Hill of St. Albans; two brothers, Cecil Greenwood of Torrington, Conn., and Ruebin Greenwood of Newington, Conn; five sisters, Mrs. Albert (Veronica) Jones of Sheldon, Mrs. Arthur (Eva) Lachapelle of Avon, Conn., Mrs. Gerald (Isabelle) Gagnon of New Hartford, Conn., Mrs. Shirley Trudeau of St. Albans and Mrs. Charles (Evelyn) Babella of Bloomfield, Conn; two granddaughters, Carla and Kelly Brier of Sheldon, and several nieces and nephews.

A funeral service will be held on Thursday at 3 p.m. at the Heald Funeral Home, 87 South Main St., St. Albans.

Friends may call at the funeral home on Thursday from 1 p.m. until the time of the funeral. Interment will be next spring in the family lot in Sheldon Village Cemetery. In lieu of flowers, friends may make memorial contributions to Liver Research Gastroenterolgy Unit, University of Vermont, College of Medicine, Given Building Room 302, Burlington, VT 05401.

Funeral arrangements are by the Heald Funeral Home.
