ObituaryOct 1, 2019  OBITUARY: RICHFORD – Sandra J. Embury, age 64, passed away Friday, September 27, 2019 with her loving family by her side after a courageous battle with cancer.

She was born in Newport on November 5, 1954, the daughter of the late James and Inzy (Buzzell) Garrow Sr.

Sandra graduated from Richford High School in 1972 where she met the love of her life Leonard Embury. Leonard and Sandra were married for 47 years, and in that time, they had two wonderful and beautiful daughters, Kris and Stacy whom she adored and loved.

Sandra spent many years and hours as a caregiver for local facilities and also as a private caregiver in homes. She loved being a caregiver and greatly enjoyed and felt much joy in her career. Much of the that time was spent at Our Lady of the Meadows. She met and made many friends and coworkers that she admired and respected. Sandra will be greatly missed by all.

Sandra is survived by her loving, loyal, husband and best friend, Leonard Embury of Richford; loving daughters, Kris Embury and her spouse Summer Embury of Enosburg Falls; and Stacy Gaudette and her spouse Jason of Highgate; grandson, Dylan Seymour of Richford whom she loved and adored with a huge part of her heart; siblings, James Garrow Jr. and his wife Teddy of Enosburg Falls, Robert Garrow and his wife Susan of Berkshire, Shirley Perry and her husband Gerald of St. Albans, Gordon Garrow and his wife Rita of Richford, and Linda Marcy and her husband Donny of Richford; extended Embury family, Carol, Glenn, Janet, and their families that have always been a big part of her life. Family was very important to Sandra.

Besides her parents, Sandra was predeceased by her niece Tonya Beaudry; father-in-law, Eugene Embury; mother-in-law, Uldene Embury; brother-in-law, Carlton Embury; and many nieces and nephews that were very special to her.

Sandra was meant to be in the profession of caring for the needs of others. She leaves many special friends and co-workers that were so very dear to her. Sandra was so very thankful for the great support and love from everyone that touched her life. She touched so many lives and will never be forgotten.

Sandra’s family would like to extend a special thank you to The Notch staff, Dr. Sanders and staff, hospitals, Home Health, and Hospice.

A memorial celebration will be held at the convenience of the family at a later date.
