ObituaryDec 25, 1935  OBITUARY: James R. Thayer, 45, died suddenly yesterday forenoon, Dec. 24, 1935, of a heart attack as he was helping a neighbor push his stalled automobile near his home in the Sand Hill district in North Amherst. Dr. L. N. Durgin, associate medical examiner, viewed the body and gave permission for its removal to the Douglass-Marsh funeral home on Pleasant Street.

Mr. Thayer was born in Cornish, N.H., and was the son of James Thayer, a Civil War veteran. He married Miss Florence Thompson at Stafford Springs, CT., on June 15, 1911.

He leaves his widow and three children. The funeral will be held Thursday afternoon, Dec. 26, 1935, in the Douglass-Marsh funeral home. Burial will be in Belchertown.
