ObituaryMay 12, 1992  OBITUARY: ENOSBURG FALLS, VT – James E. Garrow, 73, died Monday morning, May 11, 1992, in Northwestern Medical Center in St. Albans, VT, following a long illness.

He was born in Enosburg, July 7, 1918, the son of William and Gertrude (Cantell) Garrow. Mr. Garrow was a resident of Enosburg most of his life, and a member of St. John the Baptist Catholic Church.

He was a U.S. Army veteran of World War II, and later a member of Vermont National Guard Company B First Bn., 172nd Armor, retiring as a sergeant first class in 1975. He was a member of American Legion Post 42, where he was a member of the Color Guard. He was employed at Fruitland in Enosburg for 20 years, and was later employed as custodian at the Enosburg Armory, retiring in 1980.

He is survived by two sons and their wives, David and Monica Garrow, and Brent and Glenda Garrow; one sister, Mrs. Doris Itzstein; seven grandchildren, Cristi, Kylene, Kristopher, Kelli, Peter, Curtis and Jocelyne Garrow, all living in Enosburg Falls. He was predeceased by a daughter, Jan Newell.

A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated Wednesday morning, May 13, 1992, at 10 in St. John the Baptist Catholic Church in Enosburg Falls by Rev Paul St. James. Interment will follow in St. John the Baptist Cemetery. Friends may call in Spears Funeral Home on Dickenson Avenue in Enosburg Falls, this evening from 7 to 9.
