Obituary | Nov 2, 2017 | OBITUARY: Bob passed away Sunday, October 29, 2017. He was born on September 15, 1929 to Ferne Melvin Sanborn and Florence Jane Hill, in Quincy, MA. The family settled in Manchester, NH, the birthplace of his mother, when he was young and here he lived the rest of his life. He was educated in the Manchester School System and graduated from Central High School. Bob was a veteran of the US Navy. On March 28, 1952, he married Wyllian Mary (Libby). He was employed for many years at E & R Laundry. He also was employed at Cotter & Company, until he retired and GSSS part time after retirement. Bob was predeceased by his wife Wyllian (Libby), daughter Rebekah Sanborn, brother Donald, and his sister Jacqueline Sanborn. He is survived by two sisters, Elisabeth Neer and Sharon Sanborn. Bob lovingly leaves behind his sons, Mark (Lynda) Sanborn, Robert and Matthew (Cindy) Sanborn, daughter Deborah Connolly, 11 grandchildren, 11 great grandchildren and 1 great great grandson. SERVICES: Calling hours will be held on Friday, November 3, from 9:00 – 11:00 AM at the Phaneuf Funeral Home, 243 Hanover Street, in Manchester. A funeral service will follow in the funeral home chapel at 11:00 AM. Interment will take place at Pine Grove Cemetery in Manchester at a later date. It lieu of flowers, memorial donations may be made to the Wounded Warrior Project. The Phaneuf Funeral Homes and Crematorium is assisting the family with arrangements.
