76, a lifelong Falmouth resident, died Wednesday at the Center for Optimum Care in Falmouth.

He was the husband of the late Mary C. (Condon) Wixon.

Born and raised in Falmouth, Mr. Wixon lived in Falmouth all his life. He served in the Navy during World War II aboard the USS Boston.

Surviving are two sons, William E. Wixon and John R. Wixon, both of Falmouth; two daughters, Cynthia W. Sizelove of Falmouth and Mary W. Skakum of Ashburn, Va; and many grandchildren.

A private burial was held yesterday in the Massachusetts National Cemetery in Bourne.
