| Obituary | Aug 26, 2022 | OBITUARY: Cecelia Anne Garrow (nee Mahoney), 81, of Northfield, passed away peacefully on August 26, 2022. Anne (as she liked to be called), was born in Carlisle, PA. She came to Ocean City when she was 16, with a friend, to work for the summer. She got a job as a salad maker at Hogates Restaurant, where she met her best friend and future husband Bill Garrow. Anne and Bill kept in touch and married in 1960. Anne was a stay-at-home mom for her four children; Christine “Tina” Masker (Joseph), William (Scott) Garrow, Jeff Garrow, and Tricia Verhoff (Ross). Anne worked part-time once her kids were in school at an optometrist’s office and for the after-school program in Somers Point. In 1985 Bill and Anne opened the restaurant The Country Manor Inn, which they ran with their children for 16 years. Anne and Bill spent 5 happy hears in Cape Coral, Florida. Anne was predeceased by her husband William E. Garrow, her parents Edward and Ruth (Brown) Mahoney and her siblings Richard Mahoney, Thomas Mahoney, James Mahoney, and Mary Mahoney Bellwoar. She is survived by her four children, her four grandchildren Andrea Klain (Kris Anderson), Corinne Vilayvanh (Davanh), Brent Verhoff, and Austin Verhoff (Kenzie); great-grandchildren Carson Plisko, Kolton Anderson, Jaxon Anderson, and Brandon Anderson; her brother William Mahoney (Chris); and her sister Joan Mahoney Rupp; as well as many nieces, nephews and cousins.
