| Obituary | May 4, 1997 | OBITUARY: PAXTON - Mary C. (Cantell) Forkey, 78, of Pine Acres, a college executive secretary for many years, died Friday night in Oakdale Rehabilitation Center, Oakdale. She leaves her husband of 60 years, David S. Forkey; a son, Mark Forkey of Sterling; two daughters, Rosemary Ritchie of Hubbardston and Dianne Jacobson of Worcester; nine grandchildren; five great-grandchildren; nephews and nieces. She was born in Worcester, daughter of Mark and Rose (Denubla) Cantell, and lived here many years. She graduated from Westfield High School and Salter Secretarial School in Worcester. Mrs. Forkey was an executive secretary in the electrical engineering department at Worcester Polytechnic Institute for 25 years, retiring in 1978. The funeral will be held tomorrow from Fay Brothers Funeral Home, 1 West Boylston St., West Boylston, with a Mass at 10 a.m. in Prince of Peace Church, 5 Worcester Road, Princeton. Burial will be in Worcester County Memorial Park. Calling hours are 4 to 6 p.m. today at the funeral home. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to the American Lung Association of Central Massachusetts, 35 Harvard St., Worcester 01609.
