ObituaryApr 17, 1952  OBITUARY: RANDOLPH, VT. April 17, 1952 – Mrs. Belle W. DuBois, 86, widow of Frederick E. DuBois and for 40 years president of the hospital here, died tonight at the hospital.

Ill for three weeks, her death was ascribed to pneumonia.

She was born in Orleans, May 5, 1865, the daughter of Levi S. and Clara (McKown) Dudley. She was married on March 10, 1887.

Survivors are five nieces, Mrs. Barclay A. Kinsman of Middleboro, Mass., Mrs. Leslie H. Ball of Rochester, N.Y., Mrs. Albert Evans of Lexington, Mass., Mrs. John A. Manchester of Randolph, Mrs. Edwin A. Morse of Randolph, and a nephew, Fred D. Smith of Randolph.

Mrs. DuBois came to Randolph before her marriage in the capacity of railroad telegrapher.

She was at one time treasurer of the Randolph company at Highgate Springs.

She was also an honorary member of the Bethany Guild, a member of Silver Cross circle of the King’s Daughters, the Colonel Israel Converse chapter, Daughters of the American Revolution, Colonial Dames and Hospital Aid society.

Funeral services will be held Sunday, April 15, 1952, in the Randolph Funeral Home, the Rev. Leonard Pillsbury officiating.
