ObituaryMar 26, 2011  OBITUARY: Florence A. Cameron, 86, a lifelong area resident, passed away early Friday, March 25, 2011, at the Northwestern Medical Center, with her loving family at her side.

Born on Aug. 21, 1924, in Montgomery, Florence was the daughter of the late Isadore and Alice (Farmer) Garrow. On Oct. 31, 1942, Florence married Alfred H. Cameron, who preceded her in death on March 1, 1997.

Florence worked many years for Russ Simonds as secretary in his cattle business and also operated a dairy farm with her husband, Alfred. She was a very active member of the Swanton/Missisquoi Lions Club, a member of the St. Albans Co-Operative Creamery and Organic Valley. She enjoyed her garden, fishing, bowling, a good game of Yahtzee and feeding her birds. Most of all she enjoyed being with her family.

Survivors include her children, Rod Cameron and his wife, Monica, of St. Albans, Carol Dupont and her husband, Alain, of St. Albans, Bea Coon and her husband, Greg, of St. Albans, Sandy Messier and her husband, Gary, of Stockbridge, Ga., Sherry Lee Juaire and her husband, David, of Fairfield, and Merry Souza and her husband, Richard, of Highgate; her siblings, Evelyn Malirbra and Margery Duhaine, both of Connecticut, and Leonard Garrow and his wife, Carol, of Georgia; her 14 grandchildren, 28 great-grandchildren, and two greatgreat-grandchildren. She is also survived by a special niece, Mickey Richard and her husband, Harry; a special nephew, Jim Rushford and his wife, Marge; and many nieces, nephews and friends she made with her association with the Lions Club. In addition to her parents and husband, Florence was preceded in death by her son, Alfred Cameron Jr; her daughter, Marian Puffett; her grandchildren, Shannon Coon, Amy Churchill, Jeremy Cameron, Jason Cameron; her great-grandchildren, Kadence White and Dominick Souza; and several brothers and sisters.

Relatives and friends are invited to attend calling hours on Monday, March 28, 2011, from 6 to 9 p.m. in the Heald Funeral Home, 87 South Main St., St. Albans.

Casual dress is requested.

A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated Tuesday, March 29th, at 11 a.m. in Holy Angles Church on Lake Street. Interment will follow in Mt. Calvary Cemetery.
