ObituaryJul 14, 2003  OBITUARY: WINCHENDON -- Dorothy E. (McQueston) Breton, 87, of 19 Jackson Ave., died Friday, July 11, in Baldwinville Nursing Home after an illness.
Her husband of 62 years, Semeon J. Breton, died in 1999. She leaves two sons, Frederick S. Breton of Sutty, N.H., and David R. Breton of Keene, N.H; a daughter, Linda D. O'Brien of Ashburnham; nine grandchildren; a great-grandson; a step-great-granddaughter; nieces and nephews. She was born in Winchendon, daughter of Frank S. and Helen M. (Pierce) McQueston. She graduated in 1934 from Murdock High School.
Mrs. Breton was an inspector at New Hampshire Ball Bearings Inc. before retiring in 1975. She was a member of United Parish, the Pearl McGown Hook Crafters Guild, the ATHA Association of Traditional Rug Hookers, the Toy Town Rug Hookers and the Clark Memorial Camera Club. She was a former Girl Scout leader. She enjoyed rug hooking, knitting and crocheting.
Funeral services will be held at 1 p.m. Wednesday, July 16, in Snow-Ladeau Funeral Home, 343 Central St. Burial will be in Riverside Cemetery. Calling hours are 6 to 8 p.m. Tuesday, July 15, in the funeral home. Donations may be made to Murdock Alumni Scholarship Fund, c/o Helen I. Sibley, 546 Central St., Winchendon, MA 01475; or to the Winchendon EMT Ambulance Fund, PO Box 125, Winchendon, MA 01475.
