ObituarySep 16, 1838  OBITUARY: DIED - In this town [Amherst NH], 13th inst. Mrs. Lucretia C. Lawrence, age 32, wife of Mr. Aaron Lawrence, and daughter of the late Judge Claggett. Being the seventh departed daughter of the same family, and the fifth within a few years, which has become a victim of the same fell disease, insatiable consumption. Mrs. L. had been for years a professor of the religion of Jesus, and endured a lingering sickness, with calmness, patience, and resignation to the divine will, in the confident hope and expectation of another and better state, where sickness, sorrow and death will never come. A fond husband, and tender offspring are bereaved of an endeared companion and affectionate mother, whose loss to them is irreparable. Her aged and venerable mother, so repeatedly called to part with beloved children, has a consolation above all earthly enjoyments, that they have given evidence of having made their peace with God. To a large circle of relatives and acquaintance, Mrs. L. was endeared and by them highly respected and esteemed. her funeral will be attended on Saturday afternoon at 3 o'clock.
