ObituaryDec 15, 2015  OBITUARY: Fred D. McQuesten, 79, lifelong resident of Litchfield, died at his home surrounded by his family after a lengthy illness.

He was born in Litchfield on November 7, 1936, a son of the late Fred and Ena (Denton) McQuesten. He was the husband of Janet M. (Griffin) McQuesten, whom he married on August 26, 1978.

Fred was educated in Litchfield.

Disabled since 1983, he had worked in the construction trade as a union laborer. He held membership in Local 668 Union Laborers of North America.

He enjoyed auctions and animals.

He was pre-deceased by a brother, Robert McQuesten and a brother-in-law, George Boucher.

In addition to his wife of 37 years, survivors include two sons, Fred McQuesten and his wife Lisa, and John Noseworthy and his wife Lynne; his grandchildren, Morgan Lewis and her husband James, Nicholas Noseworthy, Maura McQuesten, Denton McQueston and Jennifer Noseworthy; his great grandchildren, Cole Lewis and Grace Lewis; his siblings, Beverly Boucher, Phyllis Reilly, Betty Guay, Charles McQuesten and his wife Nancy, Sandra Mackowiec and her husband Walter; as well as numerous nieces, nephews, grand nieces and grandnephews.

SERVICES: Visiting hours will be held at DAVIS FUNERAL HOME, One Lock Street, Nashua on Friday morning from 10 until 12 Noon. A Funeral Service in his honor will be held in the Funeral Home immediately following visitation at 12 Noon. The Rev Dr. Lori Wiley, Pastor of Litchfield Presbyterian, A Community Church will officiate. Interment prayers and burial will follow service in Hillcrest Cemetery, Litchfield. Friends and relatives are invited to attend. Those planning an expression of sympathy in lieu of flowers are encouraged to make a donation to their local Animal Shelter.
